We were good , very good in fact . Doyle looked the part till he tired . We should have at least won 3-0 but that will come . All the new lads look the part . Pym was like he was first game last season . Very assured , calm and made a couple of great stops . Cook had an Andy Cook type of game when he’s in a mardy lol

Oh Motm Turi . Can’t believe no one has paid big for him

Nice to start with a win and 3 points, takes the pressure off a bit.

Routine win really, Turi MOTM by a mile, ran the game.

Doyle looked good & Kacurri won everything. Vernam and Sweeney looked off it but but by no means terrible.

Always hard to judge what’s in front of you on the opening day, but we’ve either kept a half decent side to very limited chances or Exeter are shite, time will tell.

We were the better team for 90mins. 1-0 flatters Exeter. If we'd pulled the trigger at better moments I'm sure we'd of gotten more goals today instead we kept over working it.

We looked alot more solid this week then we did last week, still messing around in moments we shouldn't have been, but it was better.

Some of our passing was amazing, some was almost comical.

Pym had a good game as well.

Doyle looks a great pick up out of the deep depths of football, covered every blade of grass, made runs, tackles looked to get the ball at every possible moment and struck a really good goal that was well deserved even if it didn't count.

Once Morgan gets used to mens football (amd I don't think he's too far away) I think he's going to be too good for this level.

Turi my man of the match, could've chosen anyone of 5 or 6.

Turi was absolutely outstanding

I thought Doyle was a bit shaky for the first 15 to 20 minutes but settled well after that and looked good. I was surprised he was subbed off, to tell the truth. Difficult to say much about Reynolds as the game had completely lost shape by the time he came on. Andrews showed one or two good things. I actually thought that Morgan didn't show enough control - almost as though he was trying too hard. Good movement to step inside the defender for but then made a complete hash of the header. He also wasted a couple of chances to drift inside for a shot when his touch wasn't quite good enough. I'm sure he'll do a lot better once he has settled in a bit more.

One more thing to add is that Rodgers needs to shoot more when he gets into a decent position in the box! There were a few occasions today where he attempted a difficult pass instead of just putting his foot through the ball. He wasn't the only player to be guilty of this either. Have a pop, even if it is on your weak foot.

Three points to start the season. Deserved the win and Exeter weren't up to much but but with it being 1-0 were always in it.

Had a period second half where it was chance after chance and we just couldn't score. Our forwards willl need to start pulling their finger out though as Harvey Rodgers isn't going to score every week, and not being that clinical is something that goes back to a lot of games last season.

Like a post-Agrah morning, that was sloppy but dangerous.

Should've been a cricket score by the end. Exciting game. Bodes well for the season ahead and the subs looked strong. Think I already love Morgan. He's gonna be a baller.

Confidence booster for Pym.

Plenty to work on, but dominated a relegated team.

Still can't understand why so many fans start leaving on 85mins though. It was 1-0 and a game in which a goal could've been scored at any time! It ain't that congested getting out.

Just pleased we got the three points, after squandering so many chances it was not good for the nerves when Exeter pushed forward and could have scored late on. That would have been a sickener. Turi glided around the pitch like a Rolls Royce, Cooke more like a pick up truck today, but anthing less than three points would have been a travesty.
