It was this competition in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday 27th  August 2025 that drew us to play & beat Manchester United in that fantastic penalty shoot out, the final score being GRIMSBY TOWN 12 - MANCHESTER UTD 11. The most they ever lost by in their history was 4 times at 7-0. So we have the record attendance at their ground, and now we can add that we have scored the most goals ever against them in their entire history. So the chance of getting a good draw in the next round should be an incentive to do well against the once mighty Blackpool FC.

Am I correct in saying there must be a result on the day? But will it go straight to penalties or is there extra time first

What’s ironic, is irrelevant of what happens with Kabia over the next 24/48 hours.

It’s highly unlikely he’d have started against Blackpool or Exeter!

Why is it? The only information we have is dodgy rumours on X and people putting two and two together. I can't find one credible piece of information to say he's definitely going. I get that we are a selling club but gone are the days when we snatch the hands off the first club to make an offer. We can afford to wait to see who else higher up the ladder get desperate for a goal scorer and put a bid in. If he starts this season like he ended the last then the numbers start to go up. Do we stick or twist?

The reason why (in my humble opinion) is because on current form & system & status - he doesn’t start. Irrelevant of ongoing transfer negations.
