Fleetwood Town released there squad numbers today and Denver Hume was not on there.

Few supporters saying while it’s not officially announced that his retired from his injury which was fractured skull and bleed to the brain.

I know Denver leaving left a sour taste in a few supporters mouth but **IF** he has retired from his injury it’s such a shame at 27 years old was reaching his peak and had the ability to really progress and play in higher leagues, what a difference a year has made for him and really looked to be pushing on and performing well.

Hope Fleetwood are support him through this.

Often see him walking along Great Coates Road so assume he has a missus here. I liked Denver Hume as a player and was disappointed when he left but wish him well and hope he can continue his career.

Yeah his missus is a Grimsby lass, he's a really nice bloke. Spoke to him a few times in the gym, horrible injury and way to go out for someone with such talent and had just got over the injuries when joining us.

Hope he gets sorted with a good payout or a back room job somewhere. More important though  is his health, it’s not just a physical injury to get over but also mentally challenging to overcome. Wish him the best if his career has been curtailed.

Oh gosh, that's horrible. I think that injury took Raul Jiminez out for a long time and Denver will have nowhere near those resources. I hope he gets himself sorted out and whatever his next steps are, are positive. Football careers are short, and it's sad when it gets cut shorter.

Denver Hume has announced his retirement at 27. Terrible news though not unexpected sadly.
