Not even worth watching qualification games now. The group games you could easily skip with 64 teams and miss nothing. All the top nations win their groups and it's effectively seeded. Euros the best tournament now.

I enjoyed it more than I thought i would. Some of the emerging nations made their mark I thought  and were better than I expected. It is supposed to be a World Cup after all, not a favoured nations cup.

More of a money grab and the more smaller nations means more votes. It’s a no thanks from me. Getting beyond ridiculous.

They'll keep going until India and China manage to qualify, this will ensure maximum profits

16 and 32 works. 64 would work.

24 and 48 do not work, the 3rd place teams need eliminating.

64 is the inevitable, yet admittedly ridiculous, evolution.

Love a three month tournament.

I was there, the day Bradley Wood scored a 35 yarder!

From the black and white striped shirts
To the fish in the sea
You'll hear us singing
Coz we are Grimsby.

You won't hear us crying
But you'll hear us shout
Coz we are the Grimsby
And this is our chant.......... Grimsby! Grimsby! Grimsby!

Why not 128? There's enough countries. Bigger countries could split into separate parts like we already have (purely because we started playing it). France, Germany, Italy, Spain etc all have regions that could play as "countries". USA has its states.

Hosting such a tournament is going to involve multiple host nations.

64 teams and Town could have a few players in the tournament, 128 and I reckon there could be one or two from the Fishy doing an ancestry check for Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man etc and getting a game...

Why stop there? If we can create 45 new countries and they all join FIFA, we could end up with the whole 256. Scotland would still struggle to qualify.
