This is well worth a watch. However, I’m getting troubled that the pundits are predicting that we’ll get promoted!

Well, we did win away impressively at 4 of the top 5 clubs.

And at Walsall who were tipped strongly at the start of the season.

I think that our current good form, 2 good cup runs and beating Man United point towards a higher ceiling and potential than our rivals.

Our magnificent fans also make the 12th man.

We just need to get the job done. Having beaten Salford twice probably gives us a slight edge.

All I'm saying is that it will take a good performance from Salford to keep this team from Wembley

Complacency could kill us. Chesterfield are a daunting prospect and Notts County have shredded us many times in the past. We also have to prove we're better than Salford.

One game at a time.

Yes, one game at a time. Let all the pressure mount on Salford from the expectations set from their backers breathing down their necks and the TV pundits, let it get to the players. Always felt we were better off being thought of as underdogs, they have to play away in the first leg with all those expectations at a hostile and difficult place to be when the supporters are super behind the team.

If we get to the final, it should be a cracking game, with two proper teams.  On a bad day, we could get thrashed by either Chesterfield or Notts County and on a good day we can beat them both.  On paper we should beat Salford but I still haven't got over last season's miserable home defeat to them.

No chance. Not in a Play-off Final.

We have a 100% record in Play-off Finals against clubs not located just off the M5...

Remember in that run to the final last time at the athletics track no one gave us a hope in hell - I'm not saying we can't do it but it means nowt what people think .

The main takeaway from that it agree with is that Salford will come here and try and stink the place out which they will , patience might be required.  If we are on and get ahead of steam I think we could blow them away though we are a better team imo - they might be a few highly paid individuals thrown together but on the day can go missing big time . We need to make it like the Swindon game and try to effectively kill the tie at BP imo .

They attempted that against us at their place didn't they? And they were 1-0 down after 30 odd seconds and that plan went out of the window. If we can have a fast start and get a goal we can make it very difficult for Salford.

Maybe we should have a sweepstake of which minute the Salford goalkeeper goes down pretending to be injured (to allow a Karl Robinson teamtalk)?

I'm interested if they'll risk playing their usual formation as they had to change it while chasing the game both times this season. With them playing a back 3 gives us an easy overload on each side when the central midfielders move up, and it's caused them no end of problems with being caught out and penned in.

They did better against us trying to control the game at our place but missed their chances and then the wheels fell off with injuries and us scoring.
