Main observation is that i imagine every club will have a big turnover of players in comparison to us . Whether we stay down or go up i am hoping we can unearth 1 or 2 gems from the regional leagues again and add the odd experienced player from higher up - can't imagine we will be signing more than 4 or 5 permanent players assuming we still want to use loans to some degree.

Looking at what we need the only definite is a replacement for Mceachran isn't it ? as cover for Turi apart from that it depends what happens with Cook & Smith which i imagine to some degree will depend what league we are in . Defence seems covered apart from Tyrell who think might be let go . Midfield looks good . As does the wingers again dependant on what happens with JDS I guess ? Up top doesn't even look that bad with Gardner and I'm assuming we will trigger the extra year for JSB . Should be a relatively relaxed summer in some ways .

Is somebody going to start a League 1 Retained/Released list?

And based on last season maybe a National League, National League North & National League South retained list too?

And I'm not suggesting this thread is a waste of time BUT...

We didn't sign a player from a current L2 club this season. The only players who were in L2 in 2024/25 that we signed were either promoted (Bradford players) or relegated (Lavelle).

Possibly, I'd certainly have taken him when he left Barrow - shows what I know
