Luca Barrington has signed for Boston United .

Barrington has been without a club so far this season – but now joins Paul Hurst's evolving squad for the closing weeks of the National League campaign.

Good addition for Boston United, going to need to have a good squad to get anywhere close to getting promoted next season.

Glad the lad has got sorted.
Thought he was ok for us.
Hope this kick starts his career.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Good for both parties I think.

Obviously a very good technical player but just didn’t think he had the physical qualities required for league 2.

I think he was an inexperienced young kid who wasn't the strongest and had a lot to learn, making the wrong decision more often than not. However, his attitude was good, he worked hard and had a decent touch. No reason to think he can't improve a great deal from where he was last season. I didn't want him to come back to us, but was surprised he didn't get himself lined up with a National League club before now. I wonder, perhaps, if Hurst has been in touch with the club, asking for the inside track on him?

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him playing League football in a few seasons.

Good luck to Luca. I think he will thrive under Pau Hurst, who is already making his mark at Boston.

Amazed it took this long for him to get signed tbh. He didn't look too out of place in L2 last season and played a lot of football, looked to struggle a bit with physicality and needed to hit the weights probably. Clearly got potential as he's been part of top academies as a youngster.

On the face of it that looks a cracking signing for Boston - have been shocked he took so long to get sorted. Great that he's got a good club and a good manager as well.

To be honest I am abit surprised we didn't take a punt on him for a year or two. Obviously needs some development but he didn't look too out of place, young lad with possibly a high ceiling, very good pedigree and plenty of technical ability. Whilst having someone like him on a development loan doesn't really give you a massive amount - it would be different if he was your player.

For example he's a little under a year older than Cam Gardner - if Luca had come through our academy we'd be thinking we had a cracking player here whilst he was in the team last year.

Anyway, best of luck to him.
