Great result for the Greens and terrible for Labour, absolutely catastrophic for the Tories. Hopefully it will force Starmer to move to the left and start bringing proper socialist policies

The Greens have done a great job of building a coalition out of the far-left, anti-Israel/anti-West and sectarian Islamic voters. They’re now going to replace Labour on the radical left in the same way Reform are replacing the Tories to the radical right.

In many ways a Green vs Reform fight would be more honest than Labour and Conservative.  Let the public decide if they want the abolition of Borders, the breakup of the UK, abolition of the monarchy, punitive taxes on investment and jobs, or whether they want controlled borders and deportations of criminals, equal treatment under the law, legalised energy production and a return to the pre-Blair constitution.

There is little appetite among today's electorate for insipid, mealy mouthed diet Tory. Hopefully that penny is finally dropping in Downing Street today

Give it time and everything will flip back to the centre.

The centre has moved further and further right since Thatcher, it is time for a readjustment

Sectarianism is when conservative Muslims vote for a blonde haired, blue-eyed female plumber in a party led by a gay Jew proposing to decriminalise drugs. I am very smart.

I'm enjoying the absolute moral panic being spouted by various tails who claim to be 'Judeo Christian church goers.'

My main issue with the Greens at the moment is that there's no way I'll vote for them given the mind-bogglingly stupid comments about defence made by Polanski the other week. Leaving NATO to join some sort of imaginary defence alliance with countries thousands of miles away across various oceans is simply insane. If Putin was writing a policy to weaken the UK and NATO, he couldn't have come up with anything better.

There has always been a distinct Tankie/Russia crossover going for years, even since Russia became an anti-democratic capitalist kleptocracy, so it would be interesting to see just who is giving him his advice about this policy. Somebody on the Kremlin payroll, I suspect.

Caroline Lucas didn't want Polanski. The climate emergency policies have been drowned out by freaky Ultra Left populism. Hannah Spencer gave a good acceptance speech, the Greens would probably be better off with her as leader. The total lack political judgement by Starmer on this will maybe finish him. Burnham stands in this by-election he wins and he's p!ssing out the tent instead of p!ssing in.

I really liked Caroline Lucas but let’s be honest the growth since Polanski has been leader has been massive. He is willing to be controversial and put completely different ideas out there and is reaping the benefits. Starmer has kicked loads of left leaning activists out of the party and loads who were against his stance on the Genocide in Gaza and they have found a new home partly due to the complete mess Corbyn and Sultana have made of Your Party and are shaping the Green Party instead, their policies are little different than when Corbyn led Labour and it is easy to forget he managed over 40% of the vote in 2017. Labour has chased the reform voters it was never going to win and completely opened its left flank and the Greens are seizing the opportunity
NATO in its current form with Trump calling the shots is in completely new territory and Europe must look to unite against the Russian threat because who knows how reliable the US is now
The Tories have suffered their worse EVER bye election defeat and seem completely lost and will be expecting a few more rats to desert their sinking ship before long
The Greens are still leaders in environmental policy and unlike other parties are not taking oil corporations money
