The hosts tried to bypass his time here but he forces the issue to tell them the whole story for about 40 mins. He speaks so highly of the club, the town (kind of  ) and the fans and it shows exactly why he’s a cult hero at the club. Well worth a listen, it cements how mental that playoff campaign was, he doesn’t get a single detail wrong about it either.

Comes across as a genuinely smart, thoughtful, self-aware bloke who can recognise a good thing whether in the moment or in retrospect. Interviewers need to learn when to let their interviewee talk, but that aside - beautiful stuff. A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner.

Love the fact that after talking about getting into the playoffs the hosts try and move him on saying "and then you got your big move" and he's like "nah, I need to tell you about this" and goes on to speak for about 25 minutes about the entire play off campaign, numerous times saying it was the best moment of his life. Speaks with such affection about the management team, the squad, the club and the fans. He's a proper footballing hero for GTFC.

Didn't intend on listening to all of it but he speaks with such enthusiasm and actual raw honest insight not seen in the typical media-trained players of this day and age, enjoyed every second. Comments above are spot on about the hosts/interviewers. Annoyingly couldnt stop trying to chip in with pointless comments or saying stuff that added nothing to the discussion other than just agreeing or brown-nosing McAtee. Anyone else feel an urge to watch the All Town Aren't We documentary after listening to that? "The greatest mistake you can make in life is to continually be afraid you will make one."
