Alright guys travelling for game Saturday checking the weather and it seems to be getting worse! Wonder if we get the magic heaters from TNT as it’s on the channel? If anyone can pop any updates etc on here till Saturday so I know whether to risk the travel up in the conditions 👍🏼

I think it'll be rain rather than a frozen pitch to worry about - Met Office aren't giving any more subzero temps before kick off, although it'll certainly feel like it!

Pitch has held up well to rain of late so fingers crossed.

Regards TNT, I think we're on TNT Sports 78++ Extra so at best they'll lend us 40p to buy a shower squeegee from Temu.

Did we ever establish if we have a pitch cover/covers?
I’m pretty sure we won’t have heat lamps.

Several golf courses in the area closed due to up to 3 inch deep frost. Not sure what that means with over an inch of rain on top.

Feel as though the club would know if any problems especially given the distance a part time club have to travel tomorrow.

Dont forsee any issues personally

Won’t be any issues this end.

Larger concerns about the safety of away travel

The only concern I can see is the drainage system dealing with the continuous rainfall  over a possible 36 hrs.

Why on earth we cant just have a huge piece (or sections thereof) of tarpaulin that can be recessed away like they do at major cricket grounds 🤷🏼‍♂️

So what was the actual rainfall for 36 hrs prior to the Chesterfield game and what is the estimated rainfall over the next 36 hrs? Comparing the two is the only way an opinion can possibly be based.
