Nicest thing about this story...
There's was a bloke who's end of life watching what he thought would be his last ever game, only for this to happen.
The gane has been rescheduled to be played behind closed doors, Ajax heard about said gent who was dying, and have made an exception to the rule, and he will be the only fan allowed in to watch the rearranged game,.Fantastic gesture this one by Ajax..

Ajax are a class club.  First foreign team I'd ever heard of as a nipper in the '70s.

I think the day I realised that football had totally died was when we played them at the start of the century. I read that because England has loads more tv viewers than Holland for the Champions League games, we got paid vastly more money for the game than they did. The team of Cruyff who had won it three times on the trot and again in 1995 were paid far less than us who had only ever got to a quarter-final at that point {losing to Ajax in '71-2, when they went on to win it.}

You were our rivals in the 1930s but money means this won't happen again.  And Ajax, whose history pisses all over ours, will struggle to do better than us in the Champions League simply because of the completely unfair distribution of the money.  I hate what money has done to this game.
