Ah, yes - thanks. Recall his poignant post, failed to make the connection.

Front of the shirt is beautiful, best in a long time  I'm going to try and be diplomatic about the back because I realise it's a local company and they've put their money in, but the aesthetics of the bottom there are not great. Could they not have been given the naming rights to the Osmond or something? I'd pay Winner Winner ten quid for that not to be on my shirt if I'm honest. That's going to put people off for sure. The two mates I've texted about the shirt have used words such as "horrible" and "ruined" for the back

A ridiculous shirt sponsor catch phrase plastered on the back along with just a black blanket wrapped around the shoulders, such a shame, the front looks fantastic

We always seem to be excrement when we have a predominantly black kit, although most of those seasons have come since the turn of the century. White socks arguably more successful than red and white sleeves have a great promotion record. The exception to all of these rules is 1998 - so I might be proven wrong.

I think I like it. Would like to see it in the flesh. The Chicken Dinner looks like it's been done on Microsoft Word 95 Word Art though.

I take your point, but the “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Stand” doesn’t really roll off the tongue, does it? Unless they sold artisanal chicken dinners in a street food-style cardboard tray…

On second thoughts we might have missed a trick…

Kit is fantastic but is absolutely ruined by that sponsor at the back.

Agree whole heartedly, local business who have no doubt fairly and squarely put money into the club, and who am I to dictate to them what to call their business, sadly their name doesn’t look good in this setting and it looks tacky.

I just don’t think it looks right, it’s a bizarre slogan even at the best of times, and I can see it being the source of fun for opposition fans next season. i know a few latds who  are already put off by it. Seen a few comments saying they hope it’s optional or print on, very much doubt on both fronts.


Real shame. Other than that, it’s flawless.

Don’t mind it… it’s a name at the bottom of a shirt that when I’m wearing I won’t see…. if the fat illegitimate sizes are ok! Full credit for them putting their money in (this isn’t the first time they have) and the club achieving more income from shirt and shorts sponsorship.

There was a big discussion on bringing more in commercially, so I can’t moan when the club do.

For what it’s worth, genuinely think after everyone that wants to has had a good moan… people will buy it, people will get used to it, people will forget about it and we’ll go up as champions in it.
