Bit harsh on Wright. A couple of his clearance on Friday went straight to the Swindon goalkeeper.

Yeah that's one thing wright absolutely doesn't lack, he kicks it too far sometimes, straight through to the oppo keeper.

His penalty saving ratio is decent

But i completely agree with you. I could have caught that ball for the 2nd goal Friday. Wtf he was doing parrying it only he knows.

Yeah penalties was the thing I was gonna say, would defo bring him on for the penalty kicks in the playoffs if it got to that.

When Barrington made his first league start he was 9 days younger than Harry Clifton was when he made his first league start in a 1-0 home defeat to Exeter with Ollie Watkins scoring the winner. Nobody put a huge burden of expectation on Harry Clifton at that age or for a number of seasons after.

Jayden Stockley. Watkins scored at BP the season before.

Harrogate was only the other week.

Perhaps the question should be when did Rose last get a good chance to score from open play? Can't remember seeing too many myself of late. If you're single-handedly leading the line up against 2 or 3 defenders most of the time and playing in front of a teenage winger (whether Luker or Barrington), it's a lot to ask to expect too many goals.

If Obikwu had been available for most of the season, I suspect we would probably be in an automatic promotion spot right now.

Back in January that the failure to sign another striker was a 'bold' choice and it has certainly come back to bite us on the backside.

I'm not so sure it was a 'choice', just maybe we couldn't attract or afford a striker we were looking for, unless of course you know better?

So there is your answer Maringer, we did not choose to not sign a striker.

Of course we chose not to. Unless you think  Rob Street was the only striker in England we could have signed.
