Not sure if this has been mentioned on here before but new Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe reveals plans for new ‘state of the art’ Manchester United stadium using public funding under the guise of levelling up, yeah right.

Socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor.

Funny how these large clubs expect the tax payer to shell out for their shiny stadiums.

I really couldn't give a sh*t about this. It's a billionaire buying a toy so that millionaires can come and go, it means nothing to me.

But I will get worked up if my tax money is used to fund anything to do with the EPL or any of the clubs in it. I'll be f*cking livid.

He can have some of my tax money for a new stadium for his club when he starts paying some tax himself. W@nker

Billionaire tax cheat Jim Ratcliffe shouldn’t receive a single penny of taxpayer money. People like him should be on the gallows or the first up against the wall.

It will 'benefit the North'. No. It will benefit Manchester (and United), not the rest of the North. End of...

Now if we built a mini National Stadium of the North in NE Lincs, I'd vote for that.

Wrexham tried this route for their new stand and it was rejected I think.

If he is a regular donator to the Tory party, the government will probably ask him how much he wants to get going.

And how many times have I said on here that that's what WE should have been looking for?  I even suggested it (but using EU money) to the club 23 years ago.  It really isn't rocket science.  Why do we in Grimsby seem to believe that we DESERVE nothing?

Central funds. Divert some from going to Scotland. Might stop them from opening Prentendy Embassies.

Works the opposite way round, the more England gets, the more Scotland gets, and vice versa.

Cut off your nose to spite your face,

We are not stupid, the same cannot be said for members of Parliament, a few brown envelopes in the right direction and hey presto, how much money do you want.
