Thanks Lukeo, I enjoy looking at the count in a build up to a game. Regarding exiles and season tickets it is what it is. They have the right to not turn up, they’re supporting the club best they can. I have one and make almost all games, ones I miss are usually decided on the day often something out of my control. I don’t then have the time to release my seat. Everyone has different reasons in what they do, it least it’s good in the fact we have a very good solid base of season ticket holders. Looking forward to next season like I always do, hopefully we won’t be feeling disappointed by Christmas…….UTM and I will be applauding the team if we get the point tomorrow off the pitch!

I vote that the Premier League & FA Cup winners are the only teams to enter European competitions. A simple way to ease fixture congestion? … For some reason I don’t think that fits the agenda. PrÃcks |

As I said, most Bees fans remember the times when a cup run made a huge difference to finances. Had Benham not bought the club they'd be playing in non-league. Yes, ironic that the manager doesn't like replays but he wasn't there then. Fans will always have the longer memories. |

An exile (say) may buy a season-ticket as a donation. Or buy it in case of a big FAC match at home. They may not have any plans to attend even one league game. Having paid their money this is their right. Whether they release their match day seat is also up to them. These issues will annoy some people but there is nothing that can be done without creating another problem. (As Brentford did). |

It would be better if all clubs declared the actual attendance rather than tickets sold. Clubs could include no-show data in their annual report for information. I don’t know how many clubs are left like Town. Some are easy to spot by looking at their attendances in mid week when there are likely to be more no shows, I don’t think there are many left like us though. Port Vale are one - they have more STH than us but have had de... Click here to read more ... |

To solve the issue of people buying season tickets, not turning up and not releasing the seat, how about this: If you don’t attend at least 12 home games during the season (so turning up yourself or releasing it) you don’t get first dibs on reserving the same seats for the following season. Haven’t thought this through, btw! |

Many months ago Debbie Cook said that on average 10% of ST's don't turn up, so that's about 600ish per game on average. |

It’s nothing to do with fixture congestion.. that’s just the ‘excuse’ being given out. It’s everything to do with a monopoly. From FIFA/UEFA..corrupt organisations making decisions based on backhanders. Been the same for years. EPL have the power in this country and will bend backwards not to upset/offend the hand that feeds them. The elite can’t be upset at any cost. Wish they’d all sod off in all honesty , can go play in Riyadh..or on the Moon for all I care. Time for all football clubs in this country, however small - to unite, make a point, a stand. |

If the idea is to alleviate fixture congestion, it would also help lower league clubs who may have a backlog due to postponed games because we lack the facilities to deal with inclement weather. Imagine if we were in an automatic promotion position and the games were piling up. We'd be happy there are no replays.

Having scored 6 times for him in a League Two side and then happily sold him ahead of a League One campaign (one in which Stevenage couldn't really have expected to have done this well), I can't imagine Rose will be on Evans' wanted list, especially with the expectation on Rotherham for an instant return to the second tier. |

If the cartel are that bothered about the number of games maybe they could withdraw their B Teams from the football league trophy and play them in FA Cup replays instead. The FA’s response is horrific - we’ll throw a bit of money at you to keep you quiet. Our chances of watching town at the best grounds in the country have just significantly reduced and I’m fuming about it.

We seriously need government to lesiglate and create a regulatory body. The FA/Premier League/EFL have shown they cannot be trusted to regulate themselves. Whilst I don't want to turn this thread into a political football like many others, whichever government is in next (we all know who it'll be) could build a popular, easy-win policy of ensuring fairer funding and preventing poor stewardship destroying clubs, campaign on 'football for the fans' platform |
