Perhaps they just dislike royal family .I dislike them but never sang or booed out of respect for fellow town fans who do like them

Wealth, importance and position by virtue of birth & not merit is the big one.
Didn't boo for the record, but respect the right of those that did.

I join you on that one I did not stand or sing the National Anthem as i was in the Findus upper on Monday but the volume of the town fans around me certainly would have drowned out the " Boo's" at that distance,Again respect to those who are royalists in favour of the Monarchy.
As i expect my democratic rights to be respected.

Maybe it’s just time to change the national anthem to land of hope and glory or Jerusalem so that people can get pi55ed off about something else. End of the day, if you don’t like something, why disrupt it for some people that do.

There are 160 laws (brought in over the past 50-odd years) which apply to us mere commoners, but to which the monarchy has exempted themselves.
It would be nice if our Billionaire monarch paid the same taxes that the rest of us are required to do.
Didn't boo it, but it really is the shittest national anthem around. A terrible dirge.
In fact, I'm going to blame it for England failing to win anything since 1966 (Women's team excepted). Having to sing that before a game would make you really depressed, unlike some of the more jaunty anthems of teams such as Brazil and Italy who win tournaments even when they aren't great.
