Confused at announcement.
Tickets including General sale all go on sale at same time 9am tommorrow but season ticket holders have until Friday to get theirs
Book online but have to buy on individual memberships if buying more than one. When I queried why I has bought two linked on one membership last time without saying which linked account it was several of you told me it didn’t matter because linked accounts where one account.
So does this new announcement mean I need individual log in details to buy for those I normally buy for ?
It’s never easy

but no, true to form, you're moaning /criticising as usual

It was a question with sufficient explanation to make sense.
Take it you don’t know .
Thanks anyway

The accounts linked to your profile will all be season ticket holders, therefore you can only purchase a season ticket seat.

If, by some odd reasons it’s allowed you to add non season tickets then the system will reject that purchase…

They’ve just secured STH seats until Friday but needed to get them all on sale straight away.

Isn’t that hard…

That wasn’t the question . Never mind I appreciate everybody’s a bit on edge today so will ring in the morning.

Well, I have the same query. Not at all clear. I want to buy our season ticket seats for myself and my son, an accompanied junior. What does the guidance mean? He doesn't have a separate login, so what to do?

I rang the ticket office at 9:15 and bought a ticket at the top of the Upper because the ticket platform was absolutely useless.

I'm trying to phone the ticket office to arrange collection of my Crewe ticket by gtfc-chris but there is a continuous 'sorry but an error has occurred' message' .

I think the transfer window has been a huge distraction from normal business and as Steve wraith said, at busy times we literally struggle to get extra staff.

Seems fairly impossible to buy a ticket online for the Luton at the minute. Tried various different browsers and devices but can't seem to get anywhere. It really is a terrible system. Hopefully there will be tickets left when I get access.

OS now saying they are asking Venue toolbox for extra oomph and that they are still serving the queue outside.

Plenty of tickets available too.

Exiles paying a price but, as with signings, 'it is what it is' is the current vibe.

Bit concerning to hear that some STHs are seeing that their seats have already been sold...surely the club has to do something about this?
Posted by: HerveJosse, February 1, 2023, 11:26am; Reply: 14
You woukd have thought that someone would have realised if you put the high demand 800 or so so non season tickets on sale at the same time as the 6000 plus season tickets the system woukd crash given it’s in ability to cope with staggered sales. Still we mustn’t critiscse accept our lot , pay up and just remember how lucky we are

I think the club should move to Eventbrite or something next season, until we get a better bespoke ticketing solution. It's just a miserable experience whenever in-demand tickets go on sale.

Putting tickets on sale at 9am when people start work is foolish too. It's the service industry, they should have someone (even if it is on a rota) on hand to ensure it can go live on line earlier or do it 6pm.

That ticket website is a bloody joke.

Thought it might have calmed down a bit now so went online to try and buy my seat.

You are in a queue is says, 5 minutes odd so I thought I'd wait.

There I am waiting in anticipation as it counts down the final minute and NOTHING it's just sat there saying 0 minutes 0 seconds for about 10 minutes now.

I'm logged in but on the ground plan the two middle areas of the Lower (where my season ticket is) are grey and when I click on it is says 'The area isn't available online'. Not sure what to do now.

I refreshed the page after a while of waiting on 0 minutes and it went through. It's a excrement system though. Takes 10 minutes to add a seat and by the time you get back to the seat selection screen, the seats next to the one you reserved are all gone.

I would check you are still logged in it logged me out when ticker reached zero and then it thinks you are not a season ticket holder so greyed out. I have given up driven around town to pick up our groups season ticket cards and off to the ground this pm

Awful site, stone age. It defaulted me to the away end, where I might have bought had I not been paying attention. I then noticed the "switch to home end" option.

Just went online for a Luton ticket and had a five minute countdown. At the last second, it changed to a 59 minute queue!  Will try again tonight. I trust my STH seat will still be available.

Meanwhile, phone in ticket office sounds like an ambulance.

I'm sure when I got tickets for the Notts Forest game by being a season ticket holder I didn't show my season ticket, I just gave my name and seat number.
So could my wife pick a ticket up for me without showing my season ticket, whilst she's out?

I had the same myself. Absolutely risible. It shouldn't be this difficult to buy a ticket.

Some may say why rush to buy if you are a ST holder but I don't have any faith that this will improve in the next day or so or that ST reservations are nailed down.

Probably snowed under with demand. This happened to me before when I was going to get a ticket via the telephone for a league game last year.  As a cup game was near the date I couldn't get through . Later turns out reading from the club that demand was great for the Grimsby cup  game . Best to go down if you can and get a ticket from the club shop if the problem still occurs.

It can take longer to get a ticket than it does to watch the match.

Both events can go to extra time and penalties.

Wish it was that simple!

1. I live in Sheffield
2. gtfc-chris is picking up my Crewe ticket if The office will allow.
3. Office phone still has an error message five and a half hours after Exiles et al were allowed access at 10.00a.m.
4. They said the outside queue would be served first. BUT...
5. Posters have since said they did not have a queue.
6. Yes, there is high online demand once again so I expected a countdown for my Luton ticket. Not Groundhog Day.
7. I'm a lucky retired boomer but for lots of workers this is somewhat taxing.

Not moaning, they are all nice people but they need help.

I'm on line trying to add Luton tickets to my season ticket, I have 2 tickets in my basket but can't pay for them as I get a message saying
"You can only associate one ticket against a membership card. Therefore, you cannot have your tickets linked to your membership card. To purchase your related contacts' tickets under their membership card, only their reserved seat should be in the basket."
Does any one think this means if I buy them one at a time it will work, both seats are linked to my account and I'm sure I bought them both at the same time for the Forest match. Don't want to get one bought and then can't buy the other one.

Something’s not quite right. No way can the load on the system, all day, be anything like that of peak time for Notts County, Wrexham et al. I had to queue for no more than a few seconds for those games. Bizarre.

Tried online this morning but was showing a 54 minute wait. Went in this afternoon and quite a queue with maybe 12-15 waiting. Couple of guys had to come in all the way from Barton. Ticket office staff under real pressure with Wraithy on the counter as well. Phones were ringing unanswered which you could understand in the circumstances.

Queue was back into the club shop but the woman in the shop got really awkward about us queuing in there and threatened to close the shutters which would have meant queuing into the car park. There was no-one actually buying in the shop. Couldn't believe her attitude when all we were doing was trying to support the club. She would have been better employed (today at least) answering the damn phones.

And I wouldn't have even had to be in her shop if the club could sort out an online ticketing system fit for purpose.

The system’s clearly fúcked. Odd that the club blame the problem on excessive throughput when it patently isn’t. Needs sorting very quickly or we’ll be losing a couple of thousand off the gate. Not the time to be needlessly throwing away money hot off the back of a somewhat controversial transfer window.

Bizarre. Can’t get through at all. Just an endless queue cycle. I’ll try again tomorrow but I don’t have an endless supply of time to waste trying to buy my own season ticket seat for a game between Grimsby Town and Luton. Others will be the same. It’s beyond basic, and needs sorting ASAP.

My thoughts exactly. I think I was in a queue for an hour before being shunted into another long wait. I was finally allowed to buy after two hours. I just wanted to make sure I got my ST seat as I don't trust the system in the slightest.

I'd assume they'll open the osmond to Grimsby fans by the weekend. Luton have only got D block open and haven't even half filled it yet. I assume tickets going to Luton will be E block seats.

Was in the queue for over 3 hours
Checked every so often and finally was in
Allowed to buy 2 tickets as I’m linked to my cousin’s account so the bit about only being able to buy one per season ticket is misleading
The melt down might be something to do with putting all tickets on sale  up front (not sure what advantage 1878 or trust members got from that btw)
There has to be a better way - eg send every ST holder an email and/or text with a unique link to purchase that gives direct access  and expires at 12.30 Friday when ST seats are released for general sale

Apparently they have been on sale online already today and both blocks were unavailable tonight, so must’ve sold out!

Yeah; same here but clearly the issues with the VenueToolBox system need to be adddress.... it's an ongoing problem trying to get online tickets and really it shouldn't be

It's easy to address, bin them off and get someone else who can do it properly.

I know they have always done it but why do they charge £1 extra when you buy a ticket online - I don't know any other company that do this unless it is a fee straight to Venue Toolbox. If so they must be making at least £7K for 4-5 days work.

You can’t buy many tickets online then as probably 99.9% of online ticketing outlets charge this kind of fee and it’s usually more than a quid. You’re usually looking at nearly a fiver from the likes of ticketmaster and it’s regularly a lot more, sure I got done for nearly £15 worth of “admin fees” per ticket for an event recently.

That’s not to say it’s right - it’s a complete con and a rip off. Also known as the Exile Tax, and additional price you have to pay for not being able to walk up to the club shop. Ironically there’s less admin involved in an online purchase.

The old lot used to call it a “donation” to the youth set up. Not sure what the current justification is. It’s a windup.

Yeah, the fees firms like Ticketmaster etc charge are a bloody disgrace and it's not one fee per transaction, it's one fee per ticket. I hate it when I have to buy tickets from them, you just feel like you're being ripped off.
Posted by: ska face, February 2, 2023, 12:39pm; Reply: 85
The best one is the “print at home” or “e-ticket” fee. Once they realised nobody was paying £3 admin for printing, then another fiver for postage, they just started charging people £1.50-£2.50 to access a PDF.

If you’ve got a stadium concert and sell 50,000 tickets, you’ll be doing about £100k for literally nothing. And that’s on top of all the other fees you charge for doing nothing, plus an inevitable percentage of the ticket itself.

It’s a fûcking racket.

I rang the ticket office yesterday because the site wouldn't load. After explaining this 3 times to the lad on the other end who kept telling me to order my tickets online, he finally processed the order for me. I've always thought that staff telling you to go online to do something they can do are literally writing their P45.

To be fair, I was still having a nightmare with the system this morning so I rang up instead and the bloke was very helpful and I was done in about 2 minutes. Just thought I'd put that out there for balance.

They are usually very helpful and he did confess to having problems with it himself, I just find it a bit weird how employees confidently encourage us all to do something that eventually leads to them losing their job.

Once he understood that I couldn't actually get the website to load, he was helpful although it did seem to take forever to get through each stage of the order process. He did make reference to the system not working smoothly at his end too though so I'm not saying it was his fault.

I am trying to get through to someone in the ticket office about Northampton tickets but it just rings and sounds like it is being forwarded on from phone to phone and then says there is an error in forwarding. Tried loads of times and the same things. Does this happen when they are busy or something else wrong? Cheers

There are currently no tickets available. I assume the Osmond will open tomorrow am along with the release of unsold STH seats.

Sold out.

We anticipate further tickets being released from 12pm tomorrow when the window for Season Ticket holders to purchase their reserved seats passes.

As always, we would like to advise supporters to visit the Blundell Park Ticket Office in person or to attempt to purchase their tickets online.

This is because supporters in queues at the Ticket Office will be served prior to any calling to purchase tickets.

Luton have still only sold half of block D so at this rate a whole block (C - assuming A block is part of the tickets being printed at luton) will be empty.

Surprises me a bit that. FA cup still is the best domestic cup competition in the world in my view .

Apparently they were open yesterday. Club have been known to have them on sale then take them off a few hours later, mind. Will have another look tomorrow.

Usual Osmond blocks were available yesterday. I managed to book a couple and quite a few had already gone and that was within an hour of them going on sale.

Sheeeite...I missed that, been a bit sloppy in not checking - I was relying on STH releases with a fallback of the Osmond tomorrow, now there might be a mad scramble tomorrow at 12 with system crashes.

Whoever ends up becoming ‘The Football Regulator’, should print off your post, frame it and hang it in their gold and ermine office to remind them of what football really is and really means to real people.

I love your post too.

I got all the way through to payment and then it said someone else had bought the tickets.

Also what’s this bolox with having to provide names and dates of birth of other people you are buying tickets for? Never had to do that before? It’s not as if hordes of Luton fans are going to try invading home stands…

Phew. Completely forgot about it and our ST seats had gone when I managed to login but there were a couple just behind where we usually sit, luckily. Only odds and sods dotted around elsewhere in the Upper Findus when I bought them 15 minutes ago or so.

A surprising number of STH have not taken up their seats, but then it was surprisingly difficult to actually buy them online...

Late sales were strong for both Plymouth and Burton. I expect close to a home sell out - apparently, we've already sold our bit of the Osmond.

Looks like Luton will only bring a few hundred.

A surprising number of season ticket holders do not attend many midweek games as the live 50+ miles away, work evenings/nights among  other things.

Should’ve been £14 per ticket for a sell out.
More Luton fans Would’ve come.
We would generate more noise with 8000 instead of 6500.
Important match!
Also they charged £14 so only fair to reciprocate that.
If it is over 8000 in the end fair enough.
We will see.

For this one i disagree. I don't think many more Luton fans would come if it was £6 cheaper. Mid week against a team 2 below them etc etc..
Looks like home ends filling nicely, still plenty of availability but with a couple days left I'm hopeful of a 6k+ attendance. Doesn't help Luton not selling a great amount

Alltownarentwe is out of date I suspect - before STH seats were released.

It’s mostly single seats left, but there are plenty of them in all 3 stands.

Still expect it to be nearly a home sell out come Tuesday evening

There’s a touch over 400 left, which is better than I was expecting. If you say the capacity is 8450, going off the attendance V Forest, the biggest hit’s going to be losing about 1300 out the away end - not sure knocking a fiver off the ticket price is going to convince anymore Luton fans to take an afternoon off work and make a 275-mile round trip.

So unless there’s a mega rush in the next day or two, looking about 6700-6800ish.

Agree with that Luke. From their perspective, it's a reasonably long trip on a Tuesday night in a game they should comfortably win and if they lose, they go home incredibly grumpy.

I think we have more than that left. I got mine in the upper a few hours ago and seats were available in every block. Didn't look at the other stands, but with a fair few available in the upper id expect there will be loads left in the Main stand & Osmond corner.

Agreed. Add to that, Wigan only gave them 450 tickets for the 3rd round replay, and from the photos, I've seen they prob only took 150-200. Can't see them bringing any more than that to BP.

btw  the ossie is selling well - less than 300 home seats available in all 4 stands.
Think that means we're looking at 6500-7000??
