His description reminds me of The Shop. Strong, very very hard working, got a great leap on him and doesn't score many goals  >:( >:(

A few clips of him here. As ever, take highlight reels with a pinch of salt, but he looks a neat little player.

Welcome G.

Not a very exciting signing at all. Although tbf we are struggling to get anyone to want to sign for us at all

We’re a mid table league 2 club who have a low budget in a socially deprived area of the country who are geographically pretty much out on a limb. And who appear to have a significant proportion of the fan base who prefer to criticise at the first opportunity.

How exciting do you expect a signing to be?

Maybe better to welcome a signing than immediately look to the negatives?

Don't think hes going to rate very highly on the 'hairs on the back of you neck' transferometer 😅😅

Hard working, scores 1 or 2 goals a season  - sounds like 90% of our forwards over the last 20 years!

I bet he’s really excited at signing for a club who has spent 7 of the last 13 seasons in the Conference.

Could be an asset to have from watching that. Probably not gonna be a 30-goal a season striker but not every striker is are they. Looks like he contributes to the team, not just with tackles (lots of them in that video) but some decent link up play too.

And what I like about the highlights video here is that it's (presumably) all from League 1/League 2 matches, so it shows he is at least capable of doing that in the competitve FL environment. We always see fancy highlights reels of the u23 players we sign on loans doing great things in Academy/u23s football but that's a different world to League Two.

He played for Cheltenham in the FA Cup in November so will not be available for cup games.

Hopefully, we are talking about games, plural.

On a more positive note that is good content. Simple but nice to see behind the scenes

Be nice to at least have a choice on who to play up front rather than whoever is fit.

Well that's made the Chelsea signings look pathetic.
Their fans will be green with envy missing out on this experienced goal machine.
Only joking we can only shop in Aldi at the moment. Let's hope he does OK for us.

To be fair,  if he isn't excited to sign for us he isn't going to get stuck in with any enthusiasm is he?

But both of those views are just pointlessly, negatively, speculatively daft

Just what we need. Cover/replacement for Taylor...chasing down and coming short and holding it up. Looks  a decent signing to me..Welcome George.

Hurst quoted as saying he’s been after him for a while just waiting on Cheltenham bring in others, as we all know he doesn’t get many wrong. Welcome George looking forward to seeing what you can do.

I could be wrong as my hearing is going West like most of my body.

BUT

I am sure I heard when talking to Hursty he is going home and will be back Tuesday.

Not quite Pete, he said he was welcome to come Tuesday to the match but replied that he'll go home to sort a few bits out as I understood, so will definitely be available for the weekend

Just going on what his attributes have been listed as it reminded me of Martin Paterson...some boots to fill but hope he can have a similar impact.

He certainly has a presence about him in that video. Walks like a gunslinger with a searching gaze whereas Amos has the shifty look of an outlaw up to no good!

Will he do the pistol celebration when he scores?

Edit:- I've self censored the Johnny Cash link. Didn't want to trigger anyone.

Really liked him today, certainly a very solid start from the lad. Didn’t look like he had that raw side that young players often do, he was tenacious, physical and had a good touch about him. If I remember rightly it was his little link up with McAtee that brought the first goal.

If this first offering can be maintained I think he’ll endear himself to the fans.
