Thanks for sharing that Woz.I found it an interesting read especially more so as I've had family in the fishing industry from times gone by in the Grimsby area.

Excellent read I too had family members going to sea.

Not for me though far too cold and very hard life.

Now if they went to fish in the Med I could have been persuaded . ;)

Your right there Pete and to think as in the case of my relation he went out for 3 weeks at a time in all weathers and long and tiring shifts must of really pushed him. It's hard to not really appreciate this life until you've experienced it directly similar to the miners who worked long hours down the shafts in often hostile conditions .
