Does anyone have any sort of latest update from Soccer Express regarding coaches? I’m waiting for them to call back, last they said to me they are trying to get more coaches due to the amount of demand?

They called me back. Booked 3 places. £50 each! Leaving McDonalds near BP at 5.50am. They are now sourcing coaches from Leicester and Nottingham.

I booked on Saturday with soccer express pretty much straight after the match. They have took my money but I've had no confirmation email or anything 😧

I guess prices will go up as they have to source coaches and drivers from further afield. Probably have to have two drivers per coach because of journey time? Of course, if it was a 2 hour journey to a midlands stadium...

Called the number and it went straight to voicemail, any ideas how long roughly they take to call back?

I guess they get the cheapest deals first and now they are sourcing coaches that are more expensive for a variety of reasons, the main one being it's not a local one.

They are working through them. Took 2 hours to ring me back. They will keep sourcing coaches if the demand is there. Likewise prices will rise.

On the Ticket Information story on the club website yesterday part of it mentioned the quoted text below. Has the club said anything themselves about coach travel since?

We have teamed up again with Soccer Express who have been very reliable for our supporters for past games. We will be releasing more information about travelling with Soccer Express on our website very soon.

Been looking at Minibuses and it would cost about £250 all in for a 9 seater. Good bit cheaper than what the coach companies are charging per head. (In fact I’ve just had a great idea….)

Shame, this could put a few people off going, especially with trains being such a nightmare

Looking for one seat for me, travelling from Grimsby or Cleethorpes. Anyone have or know of one available, please?

Pm me or leave details in here if so… cheers 👍🏻

I reckon a big car sharing effort is the way forward and 4 in a car would be cheaper than £50 a throw on the coach by quite a lot.

I wonder if a taxi or minibus with driver would be cheaper

There was 5 of us that travelled from Gloucester to Hereford to watch town and I think a minibus saved us £15 each (and an hour) or something similar

Scrap that, getting the train now. Costing an arm and a leg but at least it’s virtually guaranteed travel there and back.

Just spoken to soccer express.
Getting coaches is not a problem, its the cost
£57 a seat.  They are getting them from far and wide, like coventry, and putting drivers up in St james' and Blundell park hotels.
Said they took 20 coaches to Chelsea and Palace, but only have 11 now

The UK has gone backwards. Who would have thought that a large number of fans would want to go to see their team in a final?  Whatever happened to footie special trains?

I haven't received anything from soccer express, I know they might not be sending details of pickups and tickets until later today but have they sent confirmation of purchase and reference numbers out already? I only have a reference number from over the phone...

No I have had absolutely nothing from them, other than them taking the money out of my account I've heard nothing from them at all

If I don't hear anything by the end of today I'll be seeking alternative transport down there and getting a refund they are not filling me with confidence at the minute

After the fiasco with that coach company fleecing Liverpool supporters, I guess people are slightly sceptical.
