Hopefully a couple of footballs ( otherwise non footy).

But on a more serious note. Due to the high winds my wheelie bin now has to go on a speed awareness course. šŸ˜‰

Instructor would still treat it like a disgraced criminal, based on he zoom one I attended recently! The guy made Col Gaddafi seem more like Col Sandersā€¦ and he, very overtly absolutely revelled in the control, power and authority he made himself believe he had. A example was when a middle aged lady dared to allow her other half into the same room as she was on the zoom call and seemed to utter a short sentence to him, big mistake!

She was swiftly dealt with by the instructor who dressed her down, not too dissimilar to how someone might do in the military, and threatened to remove her from the course immediately if she failed to follow the rules agin, rendering her presence and fee of Ā£89, null and void, basically she would go down as a no-show and would get a fine and points!
The poor women looked shell shocked and tried her best to justify herself, turns out her partner hd been asleep after being on night and she was telling to have a good night at work.

Rant over, sorry but havenā€™t quite for over this one just yet!

Give anyone a bit of authority and they will always, always abuse it.

Iā€™ve done various courses like this, some to avoid points, some as part of workā€¦the people are always little Hitlers. No issue with doing the course if itā€™s designed to stop speeding but some of them really take their job beyond serious.

Take care out there folks thoughā€¦

On my course I had the temerity to ask how accurate the cameras are, reply from the little Hitler taking the course ā€œ100%ā€ just switched off and went through the motions for the remainder of the course.

Did you see the dancing bear?

I did one about 10 years ago. Obviously a physical one. Taken by a traffic sergeant. Fully expected a two hour lecture on what a bunch of tw@ts we were.  Pleasantly surprised.
The guy was actually very good.

Ironically enough. I now have to book one.
I believe theyā€™re done by civvies now. Which may explain the pi55ed on power syndrome !!
