Am I right in thinking if Dean plays in the Euros he will be the first ex grimsby player to play in a major international competition?

I believe he was killed in a building site accident in his early 40’s. Sad and a good player too.

I remember watching him, not quite Stanley Mathews but not far short of the great man's talent. An absolute brilliant winger.

Yeah I also remember watching Johnny Scott too. We also had another excellent winger on the other side, Jimmy Fell.

But in any event he isn’t really an ex GTFC player is he. He was merely on loan

He played for the GTFC first team in league games, that's good enough for me.
