Les Brechin mentioned the A46 and Cabourne Hill on another thread.

Which made me think of the Caistor Beaver - the semi-aquatic rodent like view of the streetlights as you head up the hill. They look like a beavers head.

Has anyone else ever heard of it?

Googling ‘Caistor Beaver’ brings up some interesting results but nothing about the streetlights!

Yes we used to look out for this when we was kids, I’m not sure if the lights are the same now though as I’ve not been down that way for a long time.

I’ve seen it, it’s quite amazing.

Never heard of it. I tend to avoid the A46 in the dark. It’s bad enough in the day but I hate driving on single carriageways at night as I can’t cope with the headlights of oncoming cars.
