Just noticed teams are having a player lay down on the floor behind the wall when a free-kick is being taken just outside the box. Obviously it's to cover that area when the wall jumps up.

I know it's happened before but they all seem to be doing it now.

One of those marginal gain ideas that soon catches on so in effect no one has gain at all.  I have also seen a few keepers line a wall up and then put a slight split in it, presumably to give them an extra bit of a view of the ball and hoping/trusting the striker cant hit it through the gap.

Which led to the deflected free kick going in against us the other day
