Well, looks like they are set to be relegated (shame!).
It’s a tough decision but one had to be made. Don’t think it would’ve been fair on the sides in the conference had a team not been relegated(unless it was us of course)

But in due course it will be interesting to see what happens with Macclesfield as I believe that they are unsustainable at the moment and wouldn’t be surprised if they fold

does this mean Barrow plus one other will be promoted (to replace Bury and Stevenage)?

I don't like the club, I don't like their fans, I don't like the place and I don't like their strip.

But I am going to hold off on the schadenfreude as it has a horrible habit of coming back to bite you on the arsé.

I agree it's the right decision.

Think Macca have a 2 point penalty suspended which would be applied in the event of further breaches.
If there is a further breach it would surely get at least a 3 point penalty plus the 2 points suspended which would put them 2 points behind Stevenage.

Stevenage have a game in hand which would further increase the gap and save Stevenage.

Also if anybody goes bust, that would probably save Stevenage anyway.

Shame

Are Harrogate next in line to be promoted after Barrow?

Hope so but the position is far from clear as the original plan was to have a series of playoffs
The plan was to go to 7th place currently Stockport, but Solihull are three points behind in 8 with a game in hand and better goal difference. The easy decision is to scrap playoffs and promote Harrogate, but Notts County in 3rd would have support to go up and were in good form.

Pleased that I don't have to justify the decision, but squads will have been disbanded weeks ago, not sure playoffs are viable, so it might just go to Harrogate unless the ground doesn't pass the test for League 2....

The ground is fine, they'd just need to sort the pitch.

I’d like to see Harrogate come up. Only 20 minutes on the train for me and has the potential for a really good away day (when away days are a thing again, obviously).

I’d certainly rather visit Harrogate than Stevenage.

I'd rather visit Nunsthorpe than Stevenage.
