Amazing news I want to share with you, my book Mendelevskis Box is today at No1 in Amazon Kindles in both Historical Fiction and Jewish Literature genres! Can't believe it

Great reading this Summer if you are in isolation, not quite as exciting at watching Town tho ;)

Great achievement.  Now that it is very well-reviewed, I will buy a copy.  Nothing else to do for 3 plus months. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Ta mate, hope you enjoy it Review it if you can

I am working on another book but I need to go to the Netherlands to do research in Urk (it's a fishing community tale) and I had planned to go during the Euros (Amsterdam is fantastic during the big tournaments when the Dutch are playing) but that's not going to happen.

Being in isolation at home I am still hoping to crack on with the book but it will all go mammaries up if I offend any families in Urk by using the wrong names or by using real life events there in my story without asking

Do you have film rights Swin ?

Seems inevitable that good books nowadays get turned into films somewhere down the line.

I do as it happens, it is specifically mentioned in the contract with my publisher. Both film and TV

When I read it I pictured the bar owner, was it Jos?, as male private Strawbridge from escape to the chateau.

Electronic copies are far outstripping hard copy as the e-copy was chosen by a website in the USA called BookBub for their weekly promotion two weeks ago. Reviews on Goodreads have gone from 80 to over 200 in 10 days

Apparently we (the publisher and I) get paid on 'page reads' for e-copies. Got my first royalties cheque at Christmas and I was very pleasantly surprised.

Hopefully lots of people will buy it to pass the time whilst waiting to get the virus ;)

Thats brilliant and really pleased for you....do like to see local lads do well......all it needs now is for a caricature in your new book to be named after or have the nicknames of some of our fishy friends lol

Sincerest congratulations! Can you only buy it from Amazon (it won’t stop me buying it, I just want to know if that is the best source)?

Amazon is best mate, it was in some bookshops (mainly local though) but of course they are all closed now and as they were small independents they haven't got their on line deliveries sorted yet
