A random question I'm asking on behalf of someone else: I know there is no particular reason we should but does anyone happen to know if Duncan McKenzie played for Boston FC (Boston Town as was) in 1967-68?

He was at Wintringham then.

I assume he'll have played for the schools representative side in Grimsby back in the day, Notre Dame FC? Was it Father Cannon who used to run that team?

I played against them once on Sussex Rec when I was a kid, we lost something like 12-0   (shock)

Wasn't Notre Dame just a team made up of decent local lads completely unofficial? The guy who ran it was called Father Canning. Pretty sure Terry Donovan had a few games for them when we were at school.

Several players went on to better things--Dave Hill signed for Spurs but unfortunately didn,t work out.

He did run it ...but he had a really short fuse though and got fired.

All the senior schools bought into barra so it would seem fairly official to me. I know our PE teacher took great delight in a number of our school team getting picked for it regularly.
