Town definitely the better footballing side.  Just bullied and arguably intimidated a bit in the second half by Mansfield.  Burrell up front looks very lively but he didn't have much support, with some I feel we could have put the game to bed.

Clearly a bit of needle in the game.  Mansfield rocked up with half their Academy set-up.  How it remained 11 v 11 I don't know, some awful challenges flying in on the Town lads.  To their credit the Town lads didn't bite and just got on with it, which will serve them better in the long run.   Mansfield lads obviously schooled in the dirty tricks of the game, which is quite sad to see at that age.  Game changed at 2-1 when they brought on a big lad up top and he just dominated our back-line with his physical approach.

Cold night but an enjoyable game of football.  Real shame how Mansfield approached it though, their whole dugout running into the corner for the equaliser and winner, followed by the 20 or so younger Academy lads running down the front of the Main Stand to join in and then gobbing off at the bemused Town fans.   You play football to win of course, but at a youth game you expect a bit more restraint - especially in the stands!  Never really had an opinion on Mansfield one way or another before last night, left the game thinking they're a horrible club really.
