Hi all its Carrie-Anne Boylen here (dave boylen's daughter) My dad is celebrating his 70th birthday at the ground this Saturday 28th October! I'm appealing to all you fans to join in and sing happy birthday to him. I've done a Facebook appeal and I've just sneaked onto his computer to appeal to the supporters on here. Come on GTFC fans help me make this happen for my dad on such a special birthday!

Get him back on the mic before the players come out of the tunnel..  Used to love him getting the crowd going.

Davey Boylen surely, that's what he was always known as when he played for us anyway.

Happy birthday Dave.

Davey Boylen: a legend. Part of that promotion winning squad under Laurie Mac that will forever stay in our minds. (Yeah i know he'd been around seasons before that). That squad is my generation's equivalent to the 2015-16 squad.

Many times I've sat next to Dave on the bus home after a game, listening to his Lawrie McMenemy stories   :)

Town through and through and a great guy.

A GTFC treasure.

A pleasure to watch and a pleasure to meet. Not only GTFC through and through, but football through and through..

It's been a long time since your age in years has overtaken your height in inches..

Happy Birthday Dave

Went round to his house singing "Happy Birthday Davey" at 7-30 this morning. Wish somebody had told me he moved last year.  :)

One of the squad that got me hooked in '72, so will always be a big part of my GTFC supporting memories.

Happy birthday Dave.

There was a presentation on the pitch before most of the fans had arrived or were still in the bar, Dave did a walk round with the Mayor and our nonchairman

He was in the Upper with a massive badge on. Was expecting something at half time but we got a camp singalong instead.

I saw him in the upper at HT with that badge and a massive smile on his face, I reckon he had a good day!

Should have given Dave the mic, no one at the club has much of an idea when it comes to situations like this.

We all wished him the best and he knows it
