Yep. Just fundamentally flawed logic. "A gun makes me feel safe" Well it didn't do those poor folk any good when being fired at from 32 floors up. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if the reaction isn't to demand the right to carry arms openly in the street (apparently you can in some states anyway) so that they could have a shoot back.

Got to be Americans collectively for not sorting out their gun laws. Who needs terrorists to slaughter you when you have this daft clinging to an outmoded right. Might have made sense in the age of the muzzle loader.
