Someone on twitter is saying 862 (319 away). That's low for a local derby with cheap tickets, free kids and stubs counting for Mansfield.
Boycott still on and a big fuckoff to those clubs that voted for it.

The attendance at Blundell Park this evening 862 including 319 visitors, according to Twitter.

Yeah, but you don't usually get 300+ visitors for this sort of game, so its still less than 500 home fans

Won on penalties. Give the players some credit. Its not them who have voted for this competition.

Those 319 Donny fans need to look at themselves. Why travel to one of these games when you know the opposition to it ? The 550 home fans are bad enough.

500 odd town scabs in attendance. Disappointing it wasn't lower but I'm sure the clubs underhand tactics with Mansfield tickets didn't help.

I don't think any of those clubs get the attendances we do anyway, so understandable. I reckon for every fan that went tonight, about 5 or 6 didn't, so if that's success, i'd like to see what failure looks like.

I decided not to go tonight yet have a season ticket, but it is not very nice calling those that went names. They have every right to go if they wish & you have right to not go if you wish, it's called democracy. We are all GTFC supporters, but we all have different opinions & views, but when someone has a different opinion & different views to me which is very often, i do not resort to calling them names like a child would.

Two things -  Harry was out on loan last season, sent out by a different manager and was injured most of this pre season and, secondly, whilst many of us chose not to go, there are some who have and they have every right to do so.

Freedom of choice for me. I'm not a fan of the competition but if someone wants to go to a game it does not mean they are "obviously wrong". To call a supporter who attended a scab is a bit school yard to be honest. "All Town aren't we"?

Ironically enough though the game may work to our benefit as a run out for squad and suspended players

We tried and succeeded in playing football.

Summerfield, Jones, Kelly, Davies and Mills all played well. As did Osborne.

I wasn't impressed with the keeper, Cardwell or Hooper when he came on.

Clifton had a decent game, but I imagine it might be a while before we see him play a league game.

Didn't think the keeper had that much to do, he had no chance with the goal that looked as if it was deflected off Collins' back.

Agree about Hooper but I thought Cardwell did OK, chased down their defenders, played some good balls off and scored.

Yes he had very little to do, but his kicking was poor, he is small in stature, got into a bit of a muddle in the box when he came too far out, and I generally like my keepers to be tall and commanding - just my preference.

Cardwell is going to back up at best though, surely?  That's fair enough as we can't play all the strikers.

He looks small for a keeper but he had little to do. He turned his man after a bad back pass and what he had to do, he did well. I don't think you can accuse him of had distribution when his kicking was excellent and he almost set up Cardwell from a drop kick.

Yes but I am not sure we want keepers doing Cruyff turns in the box.  Slade threw his arms up in frustration as he kicked it into touch late on when under no pressure and a lot of his kicking was similar. I do agree about the drop kick.

To be honest I was hoping for a new established number one keeper with Macca as back up, but that isn't the fault of Killip and if he ever does oust Macca he will get my full support at the game as normal.

I agree about the turn in the box >:(

I didn't think his kicking was that bad, mainly down the middle rather than Macca style into the Main or Youngs stands.
