I'm not going to come on here crowing about anything mate, I have spent too many seasons going to matches in recent times thinking why do I bother but I did it cos your club is in your blood. A lot of very negative comments on here about Town Fenty and Slade tonight  and I don't watch you so I can't comment on performances but I think it's stI'll important to remember we are only 4 games in with 42 still to play and there will be many twists and turns before the end of the season.

By the time we play Lincoln if we have not had a win Slade could be a make or break game. Yeah I realize this side is a virtual rebuild from scratch side but at this stage on the evidence so far against teams we seem to be miles behind.

After a decent pre season I did not think I would be thinking we could be in for a relegation battle at this early stage but the nature of performance as lead to desperation tactics resulting in our unacceptable disciplinary record.

From looking forward to a above mid table play off season I am now thinking a mid table finish position would be an major achievement with this outfit.

Rather than going forwards we seem to have gone backwards with some very uninspiring signings only adding to the problem not sure Slade can get this side to compete lets alone become a threat.

And there's me thinking how well off we're doing and you go and mention him... and just like a bad penny up he pops... you've done it now.... ;)

The Lincoln game is perfectly timed,a good solid couple of months for the team to have 'gelled'(huh)
It's just about entering October so winter is on the way so points need to be racked up before the 'Xmas review' to see how were doing and whether the new-look demanding, ruthless GTFC board will show Slade the door for lack of performances/points, a precedent they set down with Bignot.
Plus, we're at home so we'll see if we have any Hurst-like excuses for the players who feel a little frightened by large, loud crowds ( crying ).
It's also a chance to see which ot the two rival teams are most 'up for it', a derby game being the sort of game that can be won by the technically inferior team because they seize the moment and want to indulge in a spot of badge-kissing/earn a contract extension, while the other team seemingly have no sense of grudge, derby-passion, no sense of responsibility to the paying fans.

Hopefully Osborne will be settled in defence and ready for the tiresome battle against fatty Rheade, surely an inevitable red-card outcome otherwise. And if a Lincoln game at home fails to put a rocket up Hooper then we can just beg Yussuf to come back.
Not very hopeful you'll gather, so I'll set that game down as the marker for the Slade regime and see either Town in the top 10 and playing solidly or Slade gone.
Excuses all used up, I'm not sleep-walking into the Conference again.

Conceivably it might not even get as far as the Lincoln game, we'll likely lose to Doncaster in the cup and have a tough away trip to Mansfield coming up, so the Crewe game is key. Lose those and we could be staring 7 loses on the bounce. That might be enough to push JF to hit the big red eject button.

Yes but did say Gary when all of you were going on about our 'plastic' fans that you hadn't had a real test on the loyalty of your support for around 6 seasons as you had had a relatively good period of always being there or there abouts in the National  League until you actually did get out which kept your support fairly high. I said it would be a test for you, crowd wise as soon you hit a bad spell and yesterday you had less than 4000 there of your own fans. ! Now that number is still good in this league but you really don't want to be losing many more fans so early in the season. After all you wouldn't want us taking your ground over at the end of September would you 😉 although going on the Coventry game you'll only give us a 1000 tickets anyway.
And btw we sold out  all our home tickets yesterday but we had to give Carlisle the Stacy West. Got Luton next week so crowd segregation should be interesting for that.

We didn't just have one bad season like Lincoln we had a decade of it starting with relegation from the Championship followed by several further relegation's 2nd was from League 1 and just surviving league 2 for a couple of seasons because of others points deductions before finally watching one of the worst seasons in living memory where the most gutless players stole a living off us as we dropped into the abyss. Lincoln haven't suffered like we have I'd love to see what would happen to Lincoln should they suffer our pain, my guess is you would go pop.

Cheers. Look even I admit that those Wycombe ticket sales were a joke. We have to initially buy our away tickets from a company online and there were so many different amounts that came out it was untrue. Anyway I think the official figure that travelled on the day was 1400. .......unless you know any difference!

Aside from being too defensive about it, aren't you lot questioning why LCFC are using an external ticket agency for a League game? Is this the way the Saffa get's his money back?

I'll be absolutely honest and say that it was a lot easier the season before last at sinny bank when you could turn up at 5 past 3 having dragged yourself out of the pub and just about pick whatever seat you wanted to watch the match!! We had one of those seasons last year that you may get 1 in a lifetime or 2 if your incredibly lucky. This has resulted in lots of old fans who had given up on the club returning and lots of new fans, including kids, women ect. Now believe it or not the only way you could get a pre ordered match ticket home or away up until this season was to go down to the ground and pick one up. Now we had lots of games last season where we sold out our away allocation and if you take our biggest  away game ,Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter final  where they allocated us over 9000 tickets can you imagine the chaos it caused in our small ticket office. People were actually queuing overnight and the staff in there performed wonders in getting everyone  served. The club have introduced a credit card type season ticket which is scanned as you go through the turnstiles and if the worst comes to the worst and you lose it or forget it , it is also sent to your phone so you can show your phone and have it scanned aswell. Everything for away matches has gone ok so far because demand hasn't outstripped supply but when we play the likes of town or mansfield that's when it becomes interesting. For Mansfield we will get around 1500 tickets. We have got 6000 season ticket holders. The club will announce a date when these go on sale and a time, it will be 1 ticket per season ticket holder and then just a free for all on the keyboards till they have gone. If you want to sit with friends, family one person can order as many tickets as they like (as long as your a season ticket holder)but I think you only have so many minutes to do it in !!
We have had one or two issues with system already like a £1.20 surcharge per ticket but would you rather pay that or stand in a queue for 3 hours trying to get served.

Welcome back towncryer, seem a decent enough chap from this thread. I have nothing against yourself or lincoln, I accept at times you may come on here for a bit of banter and a dig, I can accept that. I am a fan of the Cowleys and think Lincoln have done well to get them, hope you do, do well but not at our expense. Although at the moment it doesn't look like it'll matter! Imagine Grimsby Scummy Donny and Lincoln all in one division!

Well the way I see it, the transaction cost of selling the ticket is covered by the ticket price. You have an on-line ordering system it should actually cost less than buying over the counter. Even GTFC have an on-line ordering system. Same principle with over the phone. Any surcharge, especially per ticket, is over the top. (I know all sorts of places do it but it's a rip off.

I have always said I will come on here and be as honest as I can. Yeah I may upset a few people along the way and I accept I will get plenty of stick back and rightly so. I prefer your site to ours though cos you have a bigger majority on it who will say it as is. Up until last season when we had,had some of the worst teams and managers in our history there were too many people on there who would shoot you down for criticising even though we had probably just lost at home to Solihull Moors!!! I will keep it to how I see it and of course we play you at your place in a few weeks, should be interesting.

Talking of Solihull moors they've just sold another player to a league club, they must have a very good youth system and set up there!
