Yeah as much as Cardwell tried he didn't have the same intelligence to link the play. It was unfair that he was totally isolated.

I'm not sure he would have made that much difference with the tactics yesterday.

Agree, different opposition and Town had a different line up yesterday. You can't just transplant Vernon's performance against an inferior team away from home into one against a better team at home.

Different in personnel - Davies in for Mills (suspension), Summerfield in for Kelly (injury), Cardwell in for Vernon (last minute injury).

If I remember correctly Kelly played as a winger and got quite a few crosses in, yesterday we didn't do either.
