Nice to see Russell Slade strolling down st Peter's making himself at home! Top man in my book, couldn't ever see Hurst ever doing that

I once saw him in Cafe Valerie having a cream tea in his first spell.  I think he likes being embedded in the community and feeling the vibe- very much a "method" manager.

Every manager does.  Unless we're all advocating they should stay in post for life like the Queen or the Pope?

If a few of them had continued in post they'd have only ended up being killed by a lynch mob anyway.

John Fenty has put on record that a mistake was made at the time, and gave Slade an excuse to move on - we just didn't know at the time !!

Quelle surprise !!

I was bitterly disappointed in the recruitment process last season but Slade oozes experience and this type of manager will get the best out of players. Being a player or manager at Grimsby appears to leave a soft spot in them, says lots about the supporters. Looking at some of the pictures of Omar at BP last night I'm certain he will not be happier than at Grimsby but I'm sure he will progress higher in the Football League.

Cos of all of us tossers at Halifax and the Braintree home leg.

Better than some on here give him credit for. He's in a higher league, earning more than he did I guess.

Kevin was one of the players that enjoyed a ciggie or two,

Not many players smoke nowadays.
