Until recently I have had no problem playing videos from my MP/ifollow account, but suddenly the playback no longer works. Please can someone/anyone advise me what has happened and how I can restore access? My subscription is still current and the site still recognises my login and password.

Are you using Internet Exporer to access the internet?
I found it doesnt seem to work on that, so used Chrome and all works fine.  :)

Even if you have a UK account?

Strange can watch the match on my iPad, but Android phone doesn't want to know!

It’s not a UK account as such, when you mask your location using VPN the prices change to the currency of that country. There’s no proof required other than where your VPN is set to.

It didn't charge me to watch, I just clicked watch match and it went straight to it.

Worked for me abroad apart from I didn't have a commentary

Fine for away games, but not fine to sit at home in Grimsby and Cleethorpes with your VPN and your Ifollow account. I see the Coachhouse wanted to screen HOME and away games but appear to have changed their minds over home games. Our away following is unbelievable, given the size of our club. I didn't go today as I'm a bit skint but it was amazing to be able to watch us on the TV, just the one camera, do your own replays, no commentary for me at least on PC. My mates think I'm a snake but there you go. I'll get to plenty of away games, I'vr paid my way via my season ticket although I'll miss at least 7 games through holidays so works out a bit dearer for me than buying every other week. All our 2600 fans have done today is boost Chesterfields coffers by about 50k! Although away days are best.

We can't afford to lose home fans who sit watching the game at home in GY and Clee. I will permanently boycott any pub that shows home games, that's where the club gets the gate receipts, away games, no issues. Hell of a service by the way.

There was commentary available, you had to select it though. At the bottom right hand corner of the video player was a small settings button. You could select 3 audio tracks; default, home, away. Hope this helps for next time!

Although, the (our) commentator sounded very young and inexperienced...

I'm afraid it's inevitable that once live streams of games are allowed, people will find a way to watch them. You can't stop technology and some will choose to circumvent with a VPN to watch both home and away games. I will be at BP for my fix as live football is what it's all about, but others will feel differently.

Personally, I live in the SW of England. If I can watch games that I otherwise cannot attend, I damn rightly will... as would any good supporter.

I agree however, bums on seats are what matters on the day which is why I’m attending the first two home fixtures when visiting my family at weekends. Internet streaming is a last resort, yet it’s also another means of income for what would be nothing for the club.

That wasn't your average internet streaming lark though Ben, was quality IMO. We may lose a few UK exiles.

I agree with you, the quality of iFollow is very impressive. I just hope people use it responsibly otherwise I can see this facility being reviewed.

Yep, couldn't agree more. EFL clubs, particularly at the excrement end of it need as much money as they can get. Okay, they'll get a bit of the pie from the IFollow cash but I can't see it being that much. If people end up in Cleethorpes pubs watching home game, the club is in trouble.

It's likely to be the beginning of the end for travelling support in the football league. Being able to watch every game will hurt attendances.

Are the pubs not breaking some legal rules doing this?

Where you based ben?

Want to get I follow but don't really do technology type stuff. Understand the iPad logic, just wondered if I could stream it to my tv?

I don't get to many away games, but it's all about the experience/atmosphere for me, you can't get that watching from your own sofa.
If people would rather watch in telly then I don't think they're a true supporter.*

*Understand not everyone can get to matches for various reasons.

I completely agree but not everyone understands that. We are giving people the option to sit and watch at home or in the boozer

I have an iPhone and iPad. If there was the odd game this which I couldn't make due to work...and I wanted to stream a town game..how would I do it with this VPN thingy then πŸ™ˆ Make it simple for me please πŸ˜‚

Having every game possible to view via stream hasn't hurt EPL away attendances, the experience of an away day is more than just the game and I doubt many would decide not to go to any because of iFollow. What you need to remember is away days are expensive for a lot of people, who ration them to a few a season. For these people iFollow is a great way to watch the game, whilst building up the excitement for other away games. I couldn't go on Saturday, but seeing the away end made me really wish I could.

Quite simply, you would download the VPN app to your Iphone / Ipad through the App Store and log in to the VPN. Choose a foreign country, France being a good choice (as close server compared to USA) then access IFollow.

Can somebody help me with this?

I have just started a new job where I am going to be away from Grimsby a fair bit.
(I have already purchased my season ticket before people get on their high horses)

I have already signed up to ifollow already and I am paying Β£4.49 per month.

If I get myself a VPN, would I be able to log in as if I am in France or somewhere and watch the games live?

Would I have to pay anymore aswell, because the website says... "New International subscribers can pay Β£110 per year. As well as receiving all the above features, you will also be able to watch our games live*." .

With me only paying Β£45 for the year, will I even be able to watch the live games?

If this is possible for me, please can somebody advise how to do it and which is the best VPN to use.
