The squad was announced on the OS and he wasn't mentioned

Maybe he's injured, or maybe Slade and Wilkinson has decided he's no way near good enough and Bignot hyped him up so much like he did Gavin Gunning

Wasn't it Neil woods that hyped him up and signed him? Pretty boring this beating Bignot with a stick every opportunity malark, which still baffles me considering he wasn't that bad compared to certain managers over the last 10 years.

What is this Bignot hype?

Can't remember him saying anything about Akheem Rose.

He was a Neil Woods signing and went into the Youth Team group - he only signed a pro deal because of his age.

All Bignot said was Rose "was one for the future" then again he said that about most of his signings.

Have you seen him in the flesh? He looks about 16/17 I can't see how he would be anywhere near the first team at the minute.

Marcus was like a breathe of fresh air after boring Hurst,

The difference was he was full of hot air,

I really took to him at first but as time went on he just confused me more and more.

Now we have the best bits of the two of them with Slade,

Well I can't remember MB " lording up " Gunning. He only signed him until the end of the season so that implies to me he was seeing how he would fit in with his plans. If he thought Gunning was that good then he would have given him a longer contract. But hey ho just another stick to beat MB with.

He didn't big up Gunning? I think his exact words were "You do not pass up an opportunity to sign a Gav Gunning"

Marcus never passed up the opportunity to sign anyone, someone should have explained he was managing a football club and not a sticker book

Do you think MB signed him off his show reel? I can totally see why.

Unless my eyes deceived me, a track-suited Ahkeem was mingling with the youngsters at Boston this afternoon. Suggests indeed that he's injured at present.

Yes , for 5 months! It doesn't seem like a total commitment to a player especially when he signed others for more than one season.

He may look only 17, but Dembele only looks 13... more than happy to have both in the team if they are good enough

I sat directly behind the Town dugout at Boston on Saturday and can confirm he was there, sat with the lads in the dugout but didn't warm up and definitely wasn't kitted up to play, just wearing a tracksuit and trainers.
Probably get some redXes for this info that I heard at Brigg last Wednesday but I will mention anyway, was told that there is some sort of problem regarding his registration, thinks it is age related but was a bit vague. He could be assuming or it could be true. Don't ask source of information as I won't disclose.

Reading between the lines of what Woods had to say today in the GT, I think there are some issues with the lad Rose. If he was injured then Woods would surely come out and say so.

One player Town fans are yet to see so far in pre-season is young forward Ahkeem Rose, who will be part of Slade’s first team squad for the forthcoming season - but Woods is confident the 19-year-old will get his chance to impress.

“He’s not quite right at the moment, but we know we’ve got a talent there, everybody saw that last year when he came into the Youth Team and made a massive impact.

“From different areas, it’s got to be right for him to play at the right time.

“I know everybody wants to take a look at him, and that’s great when you do things well, so he’ll get his time and he’ll come through in the right areas.”

He is either not physically fit or he has the wrong/ bad attitdue.  I'm sure Woods will get him right.

Will be surprised if it's his attitude, although Im not a big fan of all this social media stalking, I do pop on now and again and he seems normal and determined..

At the fans forum we found out that Ahkeem Rose has no work permit. He is going through the tribunal process and we'll learn in April next year if he can play for us. I think it was mentioned that we have an option for another season. There's no guarantee he'll get a work permit.

It was a little vague as to whether we knew he had no work permit when we signed him. I couldn't tell if we did or didn't from what was said.

He trains with the first team and they arrange behind closed doors games with him included to keep him playing. he can't play in reserves games.

I think JF basically said we knew there was an issue but thought we might as well take a punt on him.  Fair play. It's in the hands of the government now so we just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

If he can't work where is he living. Don't understand the law but if Man. Utd. were paying him £100K a week I bet he would soon get a permit.
