I honestly believe this is going to be the fitness squad we have had in years, to me things are looking promising

The fitness squad? strange name for a football team

That should hopefully help with our slow starts, in games and seasons, I can never remember us really taking a team to pieces in the first 20 minutes of a game, nor can I remember us going on a great run at the start of the season and making a statement, we have always been playing catch-up in my lifetime.

I didn't get to see Town much when Slade was in charge last time due to me being posted overseas with the Army. Was the team generally really fit?

Even of you do not have the best players the fittest can win games, Kevin Keegan as an example.

Certainly in his second season the team was very fit and very well drilled. The midfield could run all day with Bolly, Cohen, Parky and Kalala. Reddy was lightning quick and the defence was organised.

I think as a minimum, Slade will DEMAND that we make the opposition come off the park having had a thorough physical examination.
