surprised about this as thought he would perhaps have a chance this year! Disappointed our club didn't announce it before a twitter page also. I wonder if there was a fee because he was under contract?

They've announced it now and yes was a fee

I think this shows our intentions for next season.

He would of been a decent player last season, but if we are aiming for the Play-Offs, then its a good move.

I wonder if slade would have let him go without a replacement lined up.

Already have Osborne & Bolly

Location probably had a factor in it, as from the outside it looks like he never got settled into the area. Obviously doesn't help if you're not playing too.

The kid had to go through an awful time last year, but fair play to him for going to Macc, getting his head down and earning another league move to a club where his old man is a legend apparently.

Would've been good to have seen him get a proper run here, but it seems like it's best for all parties, and Sladey has since brought in two wide players so we're not exactly short in that department. And we've got a fee.

Wish him the best of luck!

you learn something new every day. didn't realise he was Steve's son. Remember his dad well from his numerous meetings against Aylesbury United back in the glory years

Apart from 5 minutes against Carlisle I don't think I saw him play.

Shame it didn't work out for him here as the reports sounded exciting when he arrived.

Wonder what the fee WAS, even 20k is 1/3 of a contribution to a players wages.

No suprise at all. Disappointing yes but pretty clear last season it was going to be one of those signings that just doesnt work out. Did we sell him as he was contracted wasnt he ?

Could this pave the way for another winger coming in??
Gavin Massey was a name mentioned couple of weeks ago.

Neways good luck Rhys. Except when you are playing against us :-)

Exactly, it's a shame because there LOOKED to be a player in there but it's not like featured much last season. When one door closes another one opens, no need for the doom and gloom mongers on twitter!

Never broke through and his father's illness and passing clearly didn't allow him to settle. Probably best for all.

I'm a little disappointed as I hoped he would get a good run out for us. I'm more disappointed we've sold him to a team within our own division as lets be honest that will come back to bite us in the behind twice this season, that is just how our luck goes

Osbourne isn't a winger though! Bolly will be a good player if he's worked on his first touch/ball control and dribbling.

Can't remember the game, but Osborne played out wide at a home game and scored that goal with the run from the half way line!

Would be more than happy with him out there

It's a shame we never got to see much of him.

The brief time i saw him play i got the impression he could be a decent player.

Not a huge surprise though. Spent most of the season out on loan and seems he did not settle up here.

All the best Rhys......sorry it didnt work out at GTFC.

I will finish this for you...first touch/ball control and dribbling and final ball and shooting.

Besides this he has everything in his locker 😉😎

Shame, imo. Looked good in albeit a very short cameo at Bolton. Hope the move works out for him from a footballing perspective and how he manages to move on with his life after a horrible year for him. Good luck, Rhys.

Seen somebody mention that his dad used to play for Yeovil. Guess Rhys was close to him and this may have also been a factor. Shame we didn't see how good he was, but good luck to the lad, I wish him all the best.

Seen him more playing for other clubs than us. Aldershot against us in that topsy-turvy 4-3 win, and for Macc in the Trophy Final. Hard to tell whether well miss him.

Best of luck to him, hopefully he gets himself settled down where he feels more comfortable

I only saw him for 10 minutes against Bolton, but he looked a really exciting player.Would have liked to have seen more him.

My only memory of him is messing up a p.iss easy chance to equalise in about the 95th minute at Crawley

Never see enough of him to form an opinion but if his heart was not in it best for all parties to move on. Hopefully Slade will be able to do a bit of business we need a mean, lean squad with players keen to play for GTFC.

Good luck to the lad, if he's not in the plans why stay? if we got a fee for a player who only featured as a sub in a few games feels like even better business

Does the fee cover the wages we paid for him to do fcuk all though? Whether his fault or not

The sports reporter for the telegraph obviously got an A+ in geography......" Browne signs for Devon rivals"...  :)

You'd be surprised what 'good' Geography students don't know Les. I'm sure the fathers of some studying the subject are just glad that their sons have an interest in going to away games otherwise they'd have no knowledge of UK settlements are their location.

Mentioning no names of course.
