Former Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote has died aged 30 after collapsing during training in China. A very sad loss of a talented player.

Awful news, I think he had heart problems at Newcastle. I thought he was a tenacious player, very sad.

Crazy  how you can play so long in elite sport and then the problem springs up. He was a cracking player for a couple of seasons, and very sad news indeed, rip.

Shocking news this. The definition of a solid midfielder. As jimgtfc said I will always remember that goal vs Arsenal, it was the equaliser in a 4-4 match if my memory serves me right. R.I.P. Cheick.

RIP Cheick.

Always enjoyed watching your all-action style. Newcastle were always a better team with you giving 100% in their midfield..
