Just seen this on MP and it brings a tear to the eye. To see the clip of him lifting the play off final trophy at Wembley is still a sight to behold. Goodbye Diz.

Absolute hero. It's not often there's a player who everybody can only say good things about but he is one. Gutted to see him go but life goes on.

Also, that video seems to suggest that the accountancy rumour is a load of nonsense?

That's pretty hard to watch isn't it? I convince myself that we have to be clinical and brutal but then I watch that and he seems aboslutely heartbroken  and I just think 'Give him a 3 year contract'. He's been a great player for us and a great leader but more importantly he seems like a really decent bloke. Sure there is something out there for him and obviously if he reads this then thanks for everything and all the best.

Sad to see Diz go , sure there's still enough in his tank to be a useful squad player and club leader for another year .
He can be proud of his time at town and will be greatly missed .

That interview after the game against Braintree will always stick in my mind.

Maybe a return in some capacity in the future, good luck Craig.

I think RS in a backwards way has helped dizza by letting him go, he needs to play football as much as possible before he has to retire and we all know he's not going to play week in week out here so it's only right that he gets out there and enjoys his football whilst he still can. Sad to see him go though and that video tugged on the old heart strings

We currently have a vacancy for chairman....just sayin'

Maybe if Halifax win their play off final somewhere like that may be attractive for Diz seeing as many of the better Nat Lge clubs are largely southern based, if he prefers to stay round here Barrow Gateshead etc may be too far away??

Perfect role for him. Buy out our major shareholder and take over the club with ambitions of Championship football within 5 years!

Being a ginger he could probably attract some National Lottery funding of some sort ...

Wondering if we are missing something here with Dizza... listen to what and how he speaks about the club,, i dont think its quite all about playing football ,, he loves the club and supporters and just wants to be part of it as i see it  :)

A top man and true professional, not many of his like about in the game.
Paul Groves-esque in my opinion.
Thanks Craig for the great memories
