If the question relates to the number of caps gained whilst playing for GTFC it could be Pat Glover.

If it relates to the most caps gained by a GTFC player including other clubs it could be Chris Nicholl

B teamers. I'm  sure I remember Kingsley Black getting called up to Northern Ireland B when with us. Also I think Keiran Tonner for the B side.

Stuart Campbell - Scotland B; Daryle Claire Ireland B

JPKK was Democratic Republic of Congo I think, and he went away to African cup of nations when he was with us

Obviously not when with us, but I think (one of my favourites) Trevor Whymark had a few England caps?

If we could change it to a player that has played for Town ( obscure I admit ) then has played for his country at a different time, Dave Beasant springs to mind.

All that way, and never played a game. About as unlucky as jack Lewis in the 70s. Warming up to come on at Wrexham for his debut as a sub, the lad he was going to replace, promptly scored.jack was told to sit down and never got another chance!

FAO HERTS - see my post 10 re Joe waters

Although he got a few Under 23 caps, he only got 1 full England cap against Luxembourg in 1977.

I think the person who said that never saw him play. They probably just saw he's really tall and raved about him but height doesn't translate to ability in football.
