When I was younger English goalkeepers were the best in the world
Not sure if this is the same now
What position do you think we excel in now, if any?

None, the latest squad is probably the worst group of players England has ever had. See Chelsea will probably win the Youth Cup yet again but still only give their youngsters a very occasional game.

Premiership & academies have yet to show that they place any real value on their youth system and we need a big change before we have anything like a decent team IMO.

In all seriousness I think that full back is our strongest position. Clyne and Walker are the best right backs in the Premier League and Rose and Bertrand are two best left backs also in my opinion. Last year we had the two best strikers in Kane and Vardy and look where that got us! We are blinded by foreign talent in the Premier League and the England players just aren't as good as they or us think they are!

We used to be good at hooliganism but we even failed miserably at that last year.

There's no way on earth that the current squad is the weakest we've ever had.

The squad is decent the team is poor.

England's best position? 3rd in their group.

Danny Rose and Kyle Walker as a full-back pairing are about as good as it gets in the world game at present..

We've had quite a few decent full backs over the years.

As far away from that horrible woman, Nicola Sturgeon, as possible.

That's what we're good at then - stopping our real hooligans travelling abroad. Unlike the Russians, whose authorities seem to connive at it. (Those Ivans who were disappointed in the English last year were 20+ years too late).

Deli Alli is a good player but we've got a about 15 players who would make the world best 300 players but virtually none who would make the world best 50.

The academy system absolutely sucks - half of our best players came from non league/ lower league clubs. There needs to be limits on the number of players teams can sign up to the age of 21.

We have a good squad of players, no world class ones but good ones. Maybe the issue has been the quality of the managers over the last few decades.

How can anyone seriously say we've got players even close to being world class after the shambles of the last 2 world cups and euros ?! Kyle and Rose ffs ?!

Sorry forgot to add ^^ we're a fooking joke and the only reason to bother going to an England game is to go on the p.iss abroad for a few days .

Like I said on another thread, we are still producing quality players, the difference now is that so is every other country due to improved facilities. A lot of the smaller nations have caught us up rather than us going backwards.

I read somewhere a Russian Billionaire was offering to fly out any England fans who fancied having a pop at the Russian Hooligans such was his confidence in their ability to despatch visiting yobs and you have the Sports Minister wanting to make hooliganism a sport. If nothing else it should make for an entertaining few weeks of mock horror news and journalism.Goading the English seems to be a favourite pastime for these Russians and it could well come back and haunt them if large numbers travel looking for trouble one thing that is for certain you can bet it will all be our fault.
