Same line up that has produced durge for the last 2 games, lets hope its a Mansfield week not a Morcambe, or crowds will dwindle further.

First half we should of put them to bed had a few great chances, second half they came into it and scored from a flukey og, there second came from a strike when all our players stopped waiting for thr whistle to be blown because gunning was knocked out on the floor. Bitter to lose that because we deserved at least a draw.

Play to the whistle whilst your team mate is potentially choking on his own tongue? Get real, in every modern sport and every walk of life you see someone with a head injury, your first priority is to check they re ok... That simple.

Yes play to the whistle.

It's is down to the Ref to stop the game but he didn't.

You were not at the game - neither was I - after observing 5 no. pairs of magpies at the Country Park, Humberston - thought it was too good to be true and decided not to attend - and it was (good decision), but it doesn't make it any better :-/
Basically, Town appear to be a one half team all of a sudden.

Your tongue goes to the back of your mouth blocking your airway,

So if it is not moved forward you could stop breathing and die,

That's why the ref should stop the game .

So if your team mate was laid their unoncious and potentially dieing (I know thats excessive). Would you stop the game or carry on. A matter of morales I suppose.

I wasn't there but listened to Alan Buckley on the radio who said we looked better balanced with somebody on the left (vose) and the players should have played to the whistle for their second.

Now I respect Alan Buckleys views on the game who as immense experience much more than a few wannabe's on here. :)

Totally agree with the reaction of the players. They saw their team mate in obvious distress and were concerned for his wellbeing, so playing to the whistle is all well and good but they did what i would have done in the same situation. Once the ball was whacked in the net, then the ref had no recourse to strike it off. Maybe their players should have stopped too but anyhoo, it went in and we lost a game we should have at least drawn.

so why didn't macca or any other immediately rush in to see if he was ok. u think we could debate this until the end of time but it comes down to the officals. intrestingly the ref had until he restarted play to overturn his decision.

So your calling our own keeper a illegitimate for an accidental incident? Good one
Posted by: Civvy at last, March 4, 2017, 8:08pm; Reply: 91
The Gunning incident has deflected away the fact that despite a good first half, we had a very poor second half.
I'm guessing the two half time talks were totally different.
They came out with renewed vigour and we didn't. Yup the ref was utter dog toffee, but apart from a mix up by them at the back which should have gifted us a goal, we didn't replicate the first half at all.
If  Vose is not a starter for the next match there is something seriously wrong.
People have said to judge MB next season. That's pretty much the next time I'll be watching Town at home. (Donny apart as I have guests coming for that one). It's not a Toys out the pram, it's justifying £40 to watch an experimental, lopsided team with nothing to play for.  I can do that at Cheapside for free.  I said earlier that MB is yet to impress me on the pitch and that still remains. I'm not calling for his head. Let's see how we are doing next Sept and make judgement.
Should be at Blackpool and Barnet though, but that's for the away day experience.

Well that first 20 minutes was as good as we've been as a team at home all season so I'm wondering how you justify that.

Before you mention Stevenage, that game was an Omar virtuoso and had very little to do with teamwork.
