Unchanged Team,

Vose back on bench, can't believe Gunning is still in!
Posted by: Hagrid, February 28, 2017, 6:48pm; Reply: 1
Dont normally moan before the game but that team just pisses me off. We need something different marcus ffs. If vose is fit play him. Gunning is not deserving of a place in the 11. Play comley/maxwell/dis. An actual midfielder

So the same team that won 3-0 at home 10 days ago?

The same team that were dreadful at morecambe.

JT sounds as if he has similar concerns to us, said they didn't look interested in the second half, maybe the players also feel Marcus says a lot of words but says nothing interesting!

looks to me like there is an "inner cabal" with this squad........would love to hear the managers reasoning TBH as we are not creating enough chances, end of!

As previous poster, this team won last home game against a playoff team 3-0. Short memories or what?
Posted by: Mariner93er, February 28, 2017, 7:13pm; Reply: 8
Oh ffs get a grip. Changing the team every time we play bad won't produce good performances. This team showed what it can do against mansfield, so let's give it time.

well gunning has certainly gone from potential world beater to worst player ever. cant play well in every game ever.
People calling for Disley to play instead make me laugh as i have seen him have shockers before. Give Gunning a chance ffs

I know we havent been great tonight so far, and we are completely inconsistent, but we are League 2 ffs! We could be playing Woking! Try and enjoy it, its our first season back, with a shed load of new players- it was always going to take time to adjust. I'm just happy we arent scrapping it out at the bottom like Cheltenham..

Posted by: toontown, February 28, 2017, 8:37pm; Reply: 37
How have we gone in 1-0 up there, we were absolute dogshite in the first half. Dyson looks very anonymous as a target man but against mansfield, and again just then, the moment he had the ball at his feet in and around edge of the box he really looked like he knew what he was doing, single-minded and effective.
Posted by: sonofmadeleymariner, February 28, 2017, 8:41pm; Reply: 38
I think this goal and Dyson's goal the other week shows he's not really much of a target man similar to Bogle, give it to the lads feet and he'll create you something out of nothing
Posted by: HertsGTFC, February 28, 2017, 8:41pm; Reply: 39
1 x piece of quality = 1 x shot at goal = 1 - 0 lead at HT

So simple equation is get more quality, gives you more shots and thus more goal.

Goal apart I think we've looked a bit rudderless TBH but happy to be ahead

I'm all for criticism but it's the manner of how people have reacted to going ahead.

I think we need to look at the fact we're currently sat 5 points off the play offs, practically safe from relegation in our first season back in the league. The way people are going on you'd never think that would be the case.
Posted by: RichMariner, February 28, 2017, 9:16pm; Reply: 49
I think what's frustrating most of us is that, yes, we're actually not that far off the play-offs - but we're just not very convincing.

Even if we win tonight, and when you think back to that win at Hartlepool, we haven't looked great.

Don't get me wrong, three points is three points, and I'll always enjoy a victory. But the bigger picture is that we won't continue to pick up wins playing like this. It's not sustainable long term.

Still, MB is relatively new, working with a load of new players. This is a long term project and I'm sure we'll start playing better in time.

Shrews now lead 4-3. Hurst must be doing his nut! Btw if results stay as they are orient are 6 points adrift. Going to be a shock to the system - league derbies against daggers ,borehamwood and Braintree, plus the possibilities of a massive FA trophy game against Clapton or Leyton-wingste ;D ;D

Is a really odd league. I'm not for a minute suggesting we have a chance, but after a pretty indifferent run we're actually only 11 points off 3rd.

If we win again on Saturday enjoy it

Nobody is going to lie down in this league and give anybody anything

Dont normally post after a game but just still can't work out how the f&ck we came away with all 3 points 🤔
The better team lost without doubt and i think had their shot that cannoned of the post gone in the out come would have been very different im sure.
We looked totally lost and looked like sunday league strangers.

Happy and glad to get the 3 points... as my old school teacher used to write on my work, MUST DO BETTER!

As we have mentioned NL, Lincoln v York tonight, FAT semi-final draw ............Lincoln v York (2 leg).  Final could be top 2 in league (Lincoln and Tranmere).

York look set for another relegation (possibly bottom again).  They are 7 or 8 points from safety,

If not shut up about people's opinions who actually had to sit waching that excrement.

The game was excrement.
We got 3 points and are 5 off the play offs.
There was 4000 home fans tonight. How long will it be before we are down to 3000 playing football like what we (not you) have to sit through most home games.
