No change in personnel but wonder if there will be a slight tweak of the formation?

Surprised Boyce got the nod over Gunning.

I'm not, we've conceded one goal in two games, would've been harsh to drop Boyce.

JT still thinks that there's a decent chance of getting the Solihull lads.

I'm going for an announcement of Town accepting a bid for Omar then announce we've signed them both.

Weve done it again gave it straight the oppo from kick off, that will be my last moan I hope but seems we do this every time we get a kick off at the moment.

I've never understood why teams with indirect free-kicks in the opposition box always touch the ball back or sideways, allowing the defending team to smother the shot.

The ball only needs to touch another player to become live, so why not just blast it at shoulder height and see if you manage to get it to graze a shirt sleeve or an unthinking head on the way in?

Enjoying it so far.
The players look very comfy with this formation.

Hesitancy in the defence and Reid capitalises.  Was it coming?

Town being sloppy.

Half time change coming? We certainly started brightly, but we've made sloppy mistakes and let Exeter into the game

Not an issue at the back Meza just zero creativity and passing in mid field. Need Vose on I reckon as their keeper is having an easy day

Judging by commentary we need some creativity on the pitch from someone

Thanks Herts.  Im not listening to it just checking twitter but they think it was sloppy defending.  Agree about Vose if we need some creativity.  Anyone give us some HT ratings....or who isn't having a great game.

Mills wasted in midfield, not affecting the game.
Posted by: Meza, January 14, 2017, 4:02pm; Reply: 29
I dont know what to think about this Browne transfer.  Obviously losing your father can be soul destroying but to move to Macclesfield seems to me there is more in this that we think.  Its such a shame as im sure he would have done well.  I know he was a PH signing so sometimes manager changes can have an effect.

I hope he comes back ready for next season.

We are also once again being  outsung too sadly
Posted by: Maringer, January 14, 2017, 4:04pm; Reply: 31
We started off brightly enough without creating any good chances, but they soon got to grips with our formation and we've stopped passing it accurately enough. Slightly concerning that we've got 5 in midfield but they are still out matching us there at the moment.

Exeter look well organised and have some threatening players.

How has Diz done.  I must be the only one that likes Summerfield 😅

Gunning on for Pearson
Posted by: Meza, January 14, 2017, 4:09pm; Reply: 34
Well you have 3 midfielders that aint gonna break forward.  Diz will slow the game down with his side passes, Mills and Comley to break up play but there is probably no link from midfield to strikers.

Ah well.  They cant say they haven't had their chance in the side if they get dropped.  MB wont stand for that im sure.

Nearly 90 minutes and no shot on target, we've been poor but it shows how well Exeter have defended today that we haven't even had  a decent go on goal today

Why are we consistently so dismal at home :(
Posted by: Kris2, January 14, 2017, 4:58pm; Reply: 56
Total garbage, side to side passes in our own area, no movement,no desire to get forward and create, crosses that went straight to the other team, balls bouncing off us and falling to the other team.

No passion, lazy typical home performance after back to back away wins. If we expect to be a playoff challenger we must perform both HOME and away.

Don't know if your the only one that likes Summerfield but I like Diz and he was real bad today. Then again every one was bad today 😔

That was awful, no method, no quality and tactical changes every two minutes. We are shite at home.

I think Chambers' goal v Accrington was the last time we had a shot at home. Well beaten by a much better team.

This starting 11 is great for away games. Hopefully a team can be developed for exciting attacking play at home. You don't need 3 central defenders and 3 full backs at home. Horses for courses. Obvious.
