A lad from work picked 2 up yesterday for the Upper and they reckon it will be sold out today. That usually ensures a packed Pontoon the lower is virtually sold out every game anyhow Pompey have sold 1100+ just need the Main Stand filling so I would expect a gate of around 6.5k.
The Boxing Day home game is traditionally the biggest home turnout of the Season regardless of opposition so even though Accy will bring no more than 100 I can see another gate over 6k and a couple of good results prior may even see us get past 7k?
Blackpool will bring a good following of 500+ which should again boost the gate past 6k all this is great news for GTFC and it`s great to see a virtually full BP every game long may it continue. Now for a bit of fun guess the crowd and put the 3 attendances in size order

Don't think that is correct. That figure was for known losses budgeted in and accounted for. The more fans through the gate, the less the budgeted losses. Think the break even point is around 5/6000.

Pompey 6543 swelled by away numbers.

Accrington 5432 swelled by a decent result away at Donny.

Blackpool 4680 dropping due to inevitable poor performance after high expectations prior to the 1-1 home draw on Boxing Day.

Nah, that was the budgeted figure and as someone stated above, that allowed for us to lose several 100grand a year!!! This is why we have a debt of £3m+++

Went for a couple of tickets for the Pompey match today just before the shop shut. The guy checked the computer and said up to now and if all the S/T holders go it stands at 5,800 including Pompey fans he expected it to be around 6,500 by kick off time.

That`s not bad to this point I would expect a surge through to kick off though and Town must have around 1500 home seats left to sell so lets get rounding up friends and family.Quite staggering that demand for Donny away appears to have easily outstripped Pompey at home given were so close to Xmas?

If all the fans that are going t Donny turned up to BP each week the world would be a better place!

I think the Club/Trust should have some heavy dialogue on how to go about selling out BP home tickets. The average gate is around 5k which is really good if we compare it with the past 25 years but I still feel (sounding like a broken record) 6.5k would be attainable with a bit of thought and marketing. The Accy/Blackpool home games for example why not do the 2 games for £30 and offer up seats in the Pontoon,Main and Osmond corner giving it as a  Special Xmas Offer. Ideal prezzie for any Town supporting exiles heading home to GY for Chrimbo.

I dont disagree that something could be done to capitalise on the relatively feelgood factor of being back in the Lge and the positiveness brought by MB, however, i cannot see much commercial sense in offerign reduced prices over the holiday period which are traditionally well supported anyway. Offering the 2 or 3 times a season Town fans a discount ( my daughter fits in to this) over those that go regularly doesnt sit right with me.#

Once the holiday season is over and the additional half a season ticket sales are over tpp, I agree with trying to do a 3/4/5 game package to

I just think the seats in the Main and Osmond are seldom sold and the extra 1200 fans would be a welcome addition but yes you are quite correct the holiday period games normally sell well anyhow.
