Concerned at Vose's lack of involvement recently. Our main spark of creativity. No Browne either, I thought he'd done well and looked positive lately.

We won't know till we kick off but I would assume  Marcus sees this selection as one that fits with how he wants to play.

Personally would like to have seen Browne and Vose involved.

anyone listening on Mariners Player getting the same results as me? it's fine for about 5 minutes then stops, then comes back, does this a couple of times and then breaks down into garbled nonsense? It's always the same and I have no idea how to complain...I know it's not the club but no idea who to speak to....anyone? So looking forward to today's game too, just worried I wont hear any of it.....

I has same issue, I reset my iPad, this helped and works fine now. Basic clean up of tablet. Go to the setting clear cache out , hard reset iPad. Switch off back on. Hope this helps you.

What a half!  Some beautiful football played,  especially down the Town right. Makes a change to see confident and brave passing,  Zak Mills having another fantastic game, two excellent taken goals by Omar, although I think he's been a little greedy at times, a great determination by the team, emphasised by Kayden Jackson chasing a lost cause and keeping the ball in by the corner flag. I've not seen such exciting football by us for a long time.

We have finally scored a second in the parallel universe that my commentary exists in.

New manager's first real home game, a last minute penalty to rescue all three points after giving away two penalties, what a time for Bogle to decide to choke on taking a penalty. He really should have just put it in the bottom corner instead of going for the top one.

Game of two halves really, first half we attacked and defended well the second we were all over the place and just couldn't seem to get the ball in the net after giving away those penalties even though at times it seemed destined to go in. The penalty miss was just the icing on the cake of frustration from many near misses.

At end of the day Comely missed a sitter to make it 3-0 and game over. We paid for it heavily.

When was the last time there where 3 pens awarded in a Grimsby match? And when was the last time at BP?

I hope fans will keep the faith with Bignot - sounds like he got the team playing with more verve but let down a bit by some errors and refereeing

I remember us playing Southend a long time ago, when im sure we got 3 pens.  Around the early 1990's

Vose bolarinwa and browne to get a chance in their best positions would make it interesting attacking wise.

Since P.H has gone Vose hasnt had a minutes football...Is he sulking or something.

Massive choke by Bogle,cool head needed at that time.

Definitely start those 3 at Plymouth

I don't think I'd start Bolarinwa but definitely Vose playing in the position Berrett played today would massively improve us.

Im not having a go but what has berrett done to be on the team sheet today ?

What formation was we today ?

Was 4-3-3 Jonny. And not Hurst's 433 which had the wide players just playing as wide midfielders making it a 451. Was a 433 that looked like a 433 today. With Chambers and Jackson wide forwards, and Berrett just ahead of the other 2 in central midfield.

Were joint 6th in the playoffs and were in mid november. I reckon we have a squad judging by this season to compete for the playoffs which is a good achievement for us in our first season back in the league. Enjoyed the game today was a bit gutted with the result in the end but were competing well and more confident we will go for more goals with bignot in charge, he seems a great bloke who is proud to manage us and has brought a good feel factor to us. Roll on next saturday against plymouth 3 points would be great but would settle for 1. UTM

With it being 4 3 3 i understand now more as to why berrett was playing but i hope vose comes in and takes his place no hesitation.

Vose just behind a front three of browne bogle and bolly with diz and comley sitting gets me excited and i get the impression marcus wont be afraid to try it.

In my opinion this was a must win match!
We have two extremely tough matches coming up.
However you never know... Could surprise Plymouth or Carlisle.
It's a funny old game!

Nor me but FFS it was a penalty- everything goes, from goalies with wobbly knees, to delaying the kick, defender talking to his keeper, claiming the ball is not on the spot etc

Two of those i sat with thought it was 4-5-1, i was not so sure. It's a formation that can be looked at as offensive or defensive, depending on your viewpoint.
