Its weird with the fact he was dropped to the bench last week, did Vose and Moore have some sort of training ground bust up we don't know about?

Nathan Pond lining up with the Town fans in the away end allegedly

Game is crying out for pace on the wing.

Too rigid and four midfielders all much of the same , just strange as to why natural wingers on the bench but we are so hesitant to use them.

Will take 0-1 at half time listening to our performance and the starting line up/formation........still in the game at 0-1 but would be nice to have a balanced side out there and give that fantastic support some real hope.

Need wide men to get behind them second half. They have been playing with a back 2 first half. Need to spread them wide open them up. Then will can still do it.

We just don't look dangerous in the final third. It's something that needs sorting pronto.
Posted by: buckstown, November 5, 2016, 3:54pm; Reply: 14
We look neat and tidy in possesion but there's no real threat. Have to say that Bolton look like a team at the top end of the league above us
Posted by: headingly_mariner, November 5, 2016, 3:59pm; Reply: 15
Boring ground this, four stands exactly the same and the noise just drifts out of it.
Town have struggled, can't really impose themselves on the game and are showing Bolton way too much respect. Needs changing 2nd half.

You can tell we don't have a manager

Too negative, no width, crazy team selection, crazy tactics, crazy formation

Half time. I think we've been quite tidy with the ball at times, particularly in the middle third. As another poster has said, no penetration, would be good to see a couple of wide men come on. Been jmpressed with Mills, Summerfield and Bogle so far. Not sure where a goal could come from for us at the minute, but I'd take anything. Here's to the second half!

UTM! :)

Yep, been all Grimsby more or less second half.  Just need to put one of these chances away.

I would settle for a draw and get them back to Blundell Park - another game for our new manager to prepare for.

Well on top in the second half. Vernon playing really well now. Interesting that the TV commentator thinks that Summerfield is our key man.

Wow Solihull Moors were 0-2 down away at Yeovil - Jack Byrne for Solihull just banged in two goals in the second half! (ohmy)

1905 Town fans. Doesn't sound like there are over 5000 home fans.

The squad should use this performance to give them confidence for the League. We should kick on and go all out for promotion. New manager, new positive start.

Played them off the park second half but a couple of great saves and some poor finishing (again.)
Well played lads.

Two things. Our ability to give away a soft goal and our inability to score when on top are impeding real progress because there isn't a lot else wrong with this side. Watching that, the new manager will have seen plenty he can work with because we were the better side and Bolton are no mugs. Disappointed we couldn't score again but very pleased with the performance. Some really good players for the new man to work with.

Great performance, some great linkup play. Vernon really good, there goalie kept them init. Hope Bogle hasn't picked up a knock. UTM

Superb 2nd half, link up play was excellent, cant believe we didn't get something out of that.
If Notorious Biggy can get us scoring I'd expect a pretty good season coming up.

Very good second half.
Impressed with Vernon, Browne when he came on, Summerfield, Collins and Mills.

Bolarinwa got into some good crossing positions late on but failed to deliver. Great save from Vernon's shot that was heading in the bottom corner.

Unlucky not to get a draw but on we go. Still find it strange no Vose today. In Moore's 2 games he's only started one loan player (Comley today), is there anything behind that?

Oh and credit to our fans there today. Absolutely brilliant noise from the away end it was all you could hear on the tele. Sounded great.

It's a funny old game and I love everyone's optimism.
I just hope our goal drought does stop soon.
It's a real shame we could not have made it to round 3 for a big pay day.
We do have good players and we also have what sounds to be a good appointment in Marcus Bignot!
Two tough matches coming up following on from Barnet next week.
Plymouth away who are going like a stem roller at the moment. Followed by Carlisle who have not lost and are getting better and better. Expecting a big crowd at home for that one even though it's a Tuesday night match!
Seems to me that we MUST beat Barnet!
Wonder what position we will be in after the next three games?
It was all about consolidation in this division as far as I was concerned this season.
We appear to be doing more than that at the moment so you never know.
The next three matches are massive. I am hoping for at least one win and a draw.

Hopefully bignot will have this scoring sorted very soon onto promotion now nothing else in the way
