Lots of possesion near the box but we never seem able to create a real chance

Yes, I would play Diz and Comley, allowing Craig to join the attack occasionally

Get some wingers on Hurst or bagger off to Shrewsbury at half time
Posted by: Badger57, October 22, 2016, 3:48pm; Reply: 25
Less than impressed with that.
Posted by: Mariner_09, October 22, 2016, 3:49pm; Reply: 26
They created one chance from a well worked free kick and nothing else, Omar's miss one on one early doors looking costly.

No wide threat + no link man up front = no goals!!!

We look fecking clueless at times.
Posted by: Badger57, October 22, 2016, 3:55pm; Reply: 28
Either side of keeper,  it was a goal but hit it straight at him. Other than that Bogle has played well.
Posted by: Badger57, October 22, 2016, 4:02pm; Reply: 29
Can see why we've been so poor at home though. Playing like we're the away side!
intercourse me he's put on a winger at half time!
Posted by: easypeersy, October 22, 2016, 4:04pm; Reply: 30
We just cannot score at the moment. Lots of passing around with no direct end result.
It has been going on for the last six or seven games and I am staggered how we have somehow won three of those matches1-0 and I witnessed a flukey 0-0 draw at Exeter.
Still feeling edgey about this season personally.

Our play needs to be 100% better than that half.

Oh come on guys, less of the negativity.  Just think of all the times when PH has completely changed it round at half-time after sussing opposition tactics.

Then again......

He consistently fails to think his way round problems.  I hope he goes because this team will flourish under a good tactical manager.

Why is this loss different from other losses?
Posted by: easypeersy, October 22, 2016, 4:57pm; Reply: 42
Well there were two matches I really wanted us to win this season.
Hartlepool and Cheltenham.
However I will settle for losing these as long as we stay up!
What was today's attendance?
Posted by: Madeleymariner, October 22, 2016, 4:57pm; Reply: 43
Not bothered if he is going Shrewsbury, thats 7 non performances on the trot, and we have taken only 3 points in 4 games at home to teams still below us. We need attacking intent at home not this pathetic fearful tripe he sets us up to play

Look at Scunny they set up to attack home and away and walking the league look at their goal difference, they simply outscore nearly everyone.

Is it just me or are we consistently poor at home and much better away these days?
Posted by: Badger57, October 22, 2016, 5:03pm; Reply: 49
I for one won't shed a tear if Hurst goes. Another totally inept home performance. Far too many of them.

9 teams separated by 2 points for the teams around us now. Very tight so far.  1 result can make a big difference in our league position, which can then change the following week.

Just terrible...why on earth can we not dominate and intimidate teams on our own ground?
Can we actually up our permormance level or is this it?

Utter dogshit. God help you Shrewsbury.

Never worked out how to play at home last season....or the season before that... or the season before that...or this season ...

Same old same old.

Cheltenham are your typical non league cloggers. And as has happened so often against sides like that over the last few years they left with a result.

Completely agree with Lowerfindus, we just cannot win enough home games, Blundell Park had not been a fortress for years.

Shite game, shite ref, really hate Cheltenham and the gamesmanship, so bloody frustrating as far as Hurst goes not fussed either way, but if he is going just f**k off, sick of all the fannying around now :-/

The questions will still be asked. Is it fair to send someone else out to field the questions about you rather than have the courage to face up to that yourself?

Hurst has said he would rather win 1-0 than 4-3,

So he sets up his team to defend,

That's ok away from home and we are pleased with a 1-0 win,

BUT

At home he should be more attack minded the only time he brings a winger on is when we are losing,

This is going to be the picture for the rest of the season win one lose one,

If he goes I for one will not miss him,

If he stays he must attack from the kick off at home and let the other side worry about us.

If he stays in the same mould most fans will be calling for his head after another couple of home defeats.

Would have been a totally different game if Omar had taken the easy chance early doors.
