No wingers then I see another blank from us today coming up.
Posted by: FishOutOfWater, October 15, 2016, 2:31pm; Reply: 2
I'm not surprised with the team....but Henderson?

A substitute goalkeeper on the bench for the Mariners?? Whatever next?
Posted by: Garth, October 15, 2016, 2:31pm; Reply: 3
Omission of Davies and Pearson could be that we will be weak at the back, no natural wingers Hmm!

Good team selection today except for berrett and summerfield

4 central midfielders, great stuff.

Odd selection, one with zero pace in mid field! Only see this working in a 4 - 3 - 3?
But there is no chance of that!
Posted by: MuddyWaters, October 15, 2016, 2:51pm; Reply: 7
4312 I guess with Vose behind the front 2 - most teams in this division play without wingers away from home, notably Hartlepool two weeks ago and it didn't do them any harm.

Davies has a calf injury, according to JT

Pearson on the bench isn't he?

Good to be in front but just shows we can't take it for granted... need another one to try and make sure of it in the second haif so would be good if we can grab one early

Not a bad shout, maybe Disley for the other one just need people on who will throw themselves at everything, Tombola or Tuton just somebody who can harass their defence and keep the ball.

From memory, I think that we have been leading at HT in 4 out of our last 5 away league matches.

Can anyone confirm this?    Excellent consistency for a newly promoted team.

Yeah it was Ginny....

It would have been nice for him to have achieved this milestone at BP but making the number, in front of 1100+ jubilant fans seeing us win on the road again is a good close second  :)

Got every chance of doing that.....starting next week against Cheltenham

Think we owe ourselves a good performance and result against them after last season's outcomes

We'd have no problems with it if we took our chances and stopped gifting silly goals away. Easier said than done I suppose though.

I guess the Davies's injury got PH off the selection hook and enabled Zak Mills to g another game. He will take some shifting from RB. The decision to play 5 across the middle was a good one. Close to 4-2-3-1, which I like the look of. Gives cover for the back 4 and enables Berret and Vose to come inside. Good effort and 3 super points. Typical PH away performance, he will be delighted.

Hard fought wins will be vital throughout this season and even if hard to watch or listen to will be the backbone to staying up and heading higher up this league.

As many say - we need to tighten up at home to try to keep 5k through the doors for cash flow.

A good FA cup.run would be good this year as we have a stronger squad to cope with the presshre of extra games.

I see the 4-4-2 ostriches are out with the red crosses. Berrett, Vose and Summerfield are all clearly suited to NOT play wide.
